More impressive to me is what he did at Stanford with the eggheads and non-athletes they get. Great coach. Herbooey is a total dickhead but he's a great freaking coach...won at USD ( U San Diego..little private school small division..turned them into a powerhouse..Stanford..check..1-11 to 12-1 etc etc etc ....everyone else HATES him ( I don't like him as a person) but his players LOVE him ...
Could you imagine Northwestern or Vandy going 12-1 ??? Same thing happened at 'furd. How Michigan didn't grab Harbooey up will always spin my head..you would have seen a title there already IMHO had they grabbed him up after Carr. Great coach! What is your reasoning for hating him? I know your Trojans had their run-ins with his Trees. I like the guy but I'm not really a 49er fan, just like what he has done over there. Hell of a job...don't much about him personally.

Yeah... if it was just that. Let's just say Harbaugh isn't in the business of "making friends" and he gets off on it. Not exactly how I want my kids to be in life or myself but that's who he is and he couldn't give two shits.
Now the NFL isn't going to be as kind to him when the shoe's on the other foot as the NCAA but the guy doesn't care what he says does or anything as long as he wins. You know we teach our kids and like to see good sports , gracious in victory or defeat good guys on and off the field thats not Jim Harbooey. Different kind of guy.

Agreed on Haley..he has babied about his opponet running it up on him..thats on him.
Well I think John has a little more couth than Jim( notice he apologized) and he certainly is a solid coach as well as Jim. Maybe being around the leauge more than Jim he knows what it's like to have it go the other way and that eventually everyone gets theirs.
I know Jim came into the Pac and made up some BS about Carroll leaving to the NFL after the 2007 season to tell recruits as soon as he got the job. Carroll laughed it off ...said "oh thats JIm being wacky" to the media ...and promptly was beat in a game that cost SC a trip to another title game. Hey Harbaugh had his sights on the top and promptly went after Carroll ( and went 3-1 in 4 games) even if he had to make up some bullshit ..
....I think there's an unwritten respect thing with coaches and not doing that type of stuff...or but Harbaugh doesn't care about ethics or honor..just winning I have no problem with that. Let's just say there are coaches that are "respected" by other coaches for traits other than winning games and others who are not. Harbaugh is not.
Harbaugh does win though and that's his job when all is said in done. He just chooses to win like an asshole.
