    one of the computers has a 9-1 FSU behind 5-5 teams and every computer have Clemson ranked above FSU

    Getting rid of the BCS is clear and is being thrown out very soon. Basically saying to rely it all on the "eye test", like FSU and other teams beating up on nobody all year is the way to get into the national title game while other teams play top teams to the wire. All of his alternatives are awful.

  • hes advocating the way things were done before the BCS. you choose the MNC winner after all the bowl games. the eye test also says we arent going to play for the MNC. obviously it calls for some common sense.

    I agree but the message was more to do with the computers. Since obviously the computer uses formula and not the " eye test "... either way I am glad a playoff is just around the corner

    completely agree. that was a backbreaker. i dont care if wed have played WVU early on and killed them this loss would have kicked our ass in

    Me too. There's never been a scenario where one more game wouldn't have solved the debate.

    Would have loved to have seen Michigan vs. Nebraska in 1997 for example or Auburn vs. USC in 2004. Heck Georgia Tech vs. Colorado in 1990!

  • What Jimbo is saying is that the computers and the BCS suck. He also called out some of the media members who vote, and probably never played a down of football in their lives but have impacts on where these teams are ranked. Just looked at the huge difference in our ranking in the BCS, AP and Coaches. The coaches poll is the only one that has FSU ranked above the two loss SEC teams while the others droped FSU in favor of the two loss SEC teams.

    He was not saying we should play for the national championship. Just upset with how the computers rank teams. He is right, it is flawed. You are right in that no team that looses to N.C. State should play for ship.

I get what he's saying, and I understand it, but at the same time they would all be worse than what we have now. You honestly can't believe if coaches knew they had the overall deciding factor, they wouldn't vote for themselves, or if they were out of it, vote for a conference foe.

    I get how he's mad for sure. LSU and Scar being in the top 10 along with A&M is an embarrassment to the game. You choke and lose 2 games, you're done. Get out of the top 10.   • Jimbo is bringing the lulz. Someone try and explain this:

    Fisher thinks the coaches' poll is the most accurate way to evaluate teams, suggesting his fellow coaches provide the most knowledge about how teams have actually performed and, he believes, would vote without bias.

    Fisher revealed that his own ballot in the coaches' poll, which he said he spends about two hours per week completing, includes Florida State at No. 4 behind only undefeated Kansas State, Oregon and Notre Dame.

    Asked if he believed the Seminoles were the best of the one-loss teams, including SEC leaders Alabama and Georgia, Fisher said, "I think we're as good as any of them."
