again guys..... can this program as in FSU in general, not last years team, not this yeara team, not next years team, but FSU as a program..... can FSU compete with what is around them and what they are able to get... Jimbo might not be the right guy for the job, but his statement is still true.... FSU has the capability to compete with the SEC.....

now if we are asking about this particular team the answer is yes to recruiting, and not yet on the field.... but CAN the program compete, yes with the right pieces, and as it stands we are ready to see if Jimbo can..... brt your ass if another 4 loss season happens I will be a very pissed of man, cause we can and should be competing....

of course..... it is all a matter of wins, if the wins happen as you hope it does, your stance changes.....

and it isn't like coaches don't say stupid shit all the time, that is what they are good for, a laugh...

disagree with you , think you guys can compete with anybody in the SEC except maybe LSU and alabama ...you got the talent except maybe on the OL and that will change over the next couple of years

But the fact that we can compete in the SEC is not based on us playing Bama the beginning of the season ( we lost to Wake and I believe possibly Clemson due to injuries suffered during the OU game) I am NOT a fan that thinks that FSU is ready to take on anybody. However I do believe that last year we would have had a winning season if we would have played in the SEC. I also think that Fisher is saying that we have the talent (which we do) to compete. Please show me how this reasoning is wrong (again I recognize that we have a lot of room for improvement)

Just cause we have talent doesn't change the fact we are very soft on offense

Maybe that changes but until we start getting tougher the SEC would eat us alive during the course of an entire season

Its about playing an entire SEC schedule

If a 10-3 OU team can beat us up then Bama and LSU would beat us up so bad we might not even recover

Remember it took two weeks and a bye and still we lost to Wake Forest

dont disagree but do think that you guys could compete with just about any teams in the SEC week in and week out ; the OL would take care of itself over time and really think the Def would play anybody tough

Look at OU last year

We were at home and got flat out beaten up

Kids leaving on stretchers, QB gone

And afterwards we lost to clemson, had a bye and still lost to Wake after a bye

Imagine if you replaced Clemson and Wake with say LSU and Florida

We would be so beaten up after that and the losses would pile up real quick
