Jimbo adds another excellent recruiter, Brewster to FSU

  • I don't think you are playing for the nati if there are 2 other undefeateds out there. Not until the ACC gives you some help in the sos dept. I even think your still behind a 1 loss SEC team. Not a flame, just my outsiders perspective.

Sure, If you keep going 10-2, not competing for the nati title's you run the risk of losing elite Status. You certainly are not where you were from 1985-2005. The question becomes, if you can't do any better than the obligitory orange bowl against the weakest bcs team, how long before you slip down another rung? I think you can get it back, but its gonna take time. This years schedule is an absolute joke and you guys should have learned your lesson by now, but I guess not. Your going to have to go find some bcs schools to put on your your future schedules if you want to get back to that level. The ACC is kiiling you right now with bad teams and by not playing other good programs during the season your going to continue to keep getting past over. Yes you have a good brand name, yes you have above average facilities, but your simply not keeping up with joneses right now. Very honestly if you had beaten NC State this year, you still would not have been in the conversation of the Nat Champ game the week prior to florida because your schedule was so weak. Ya'll are the only ones who can fix this. My point, right now, in the national perspective, you are not as highly regarded as Notre Dame, Bama, Georgia, LSU, Ohio State, Florida or even the fighting Kiffins. And playing Bethine Cookman, Idaho and Nevada are not going to help that perception.

You are sadly mistaken or just trying to get a rise out of FSU fans if you think that an undefeated FSU team the week before playing UF would not have been in the discussion for the NC. Now whether an undefeated FSU team would have gotten the nod over two other undefeated teams is a whole different discussion. I do agree that FSU would have to go undefeated to get into the NC and if there are two other undefeated teams....FSU is on the outside looking in with the weak schedule that we have.

As far as our 2013 schedule..........please keep in mind that this year was again supposed to have West Virginia. That would have been Bethune-Cookman, Nevada, West Virginia, and Florida as our OOC schedule.

since the BCS has began there has been one year with more than two undefeateds

so I feel confident in saying that if FSU takes care of business in our current bowl format we make the national title... Had we went undefeated this year we play Notre Dame for the title, not Bama..

Jimbo should start presser with, "This game is about recruiting." Open door & let Brewster, Pruitt, Sunseri, Kelly, & Graham walk in.

I am trying to find it but Chip Brown once reported that Mack Brown called him one of the the best recruiters he'd ever had. Hear he's a real dick though.

Shouldn't listen to a over egotistical high school scout IMO. Brewster is a great guy and a good coach anybody that has worked with him or hung out with him would tell you the same. Fish is speaking out of his ass on this subject I promise you, Brewster could give crap less about Fishbein.

  • Jimbo still calling plays?
    Trickett still O-Line coach?

If yes, No change that needed to be made was made.

You;ve been bringing the heat at FSU last two days. Got the juices flowing a bit!

I think the added ingredient in that, which teams wanting us to still suck in the clutch going forward will ignore, is that EJManuel truly sucked dong. He was freaking terrible against good defenses. Terrified, confused, hurried, innacurate, turnover prone. Pathetic.

That just furthers my point IMO. Jimbo worked with EJ for 5 years. EJs decision making is a huge reflection of Jimbos inability to develop him.

Maybe it is the issue of EJ was more concerned about making the league then impressing.

He was a decent QB but he asked Jimbo if he could avoid running after last season (as a DT QB)

So instead of running under pressure he tried forcing throws.

Jimbo is one of the best QB coaches in CFB. All but one of his QBs while coaching as a QB coach/OC/HC over the years has made the league.

EJ will go 2-3rd round P.S.

Yeah because given five years Jimbo can make a slow witted under any pressure QB into fearless decision maker. Dude's mental game simply folded like a sleeping bag when another team's colored jersey flashed in his vision. Then it was reverse spin moves that go nowhere and tuck and waddles galore. Due to his lack of confidence about 75% of the time he didnt look athletic at all either. Waddling around shuffle stepping.

Again... Jimbo had 5 years with him to develop the mental game.

Notice how EJ will still get drafted high. It's because he had all the tools. But Jimbo couldn't develop his mental side.
