Jimbo sends 14 to the NFL combine

  • Not that all 14 will get drafted, but at least 9 or 10 will imo ( the record is 14 fwiw ) and 9 or 10 would be a high for FSU lately

    That is a nice start to Jimbo and FSU reestablishing its pipeline to the NFL, and a tool that will help FSU on the trail in 2014 and beyond for sure

    Another QB, a host of DE's/DT's and solid skill talent across the board.... even an OL coffee

    I don't see anybody taking Rodney Smith but he would be 15 and the new record if somehow all of them get picked

  • And he still manages to lose to Nc St every other year. Nc St hasn't sent 14 to the combine in 10 years. We are far superior to all ACC teams other than Clemson talent wise. If we lose any game other than Clemson or UF next year FSU needs to move on. I love Jimbo but these Nc St and UVA type loses are really fvcking unacceptable. The problem with our fanbase is this is acceptable and winning the ACC is the top goal. The talent we have the ACC should be locked up week 1 like the dynasty years. Yeah the game has changed but our talent level is right there with Bama. If Saban was coaching this team we would shit all over the ACC. It's year 4 and absolutely no excuses for us not playing or Atleast in the run for a title come December. I'm a realist and know you love to flame nova so flame on bro.

    Ill tell you what isn't unacceptable = winning the ACC and BCS bowl game for the first time in almost 10 years and exceeding my expectations last year ( thought they would lose 3 or 4 games )

    Last years talent was not Bama's level, and if you think that you are dumber than I realized

I know Saban is the best coach in college football and comparing Jimbos results to his isn't fair at all. But this is the ACC and it is terrible in football. Honest discussion Nova. With Louisville joining this confrence are you concerned?? As of right now Strong is by far a better gameday coach than Jimbo. Strong will be able to upgrade his talent level now with the move to the ACC. If Jimbo would hire a OC and trust his coaches 100% and let them do there thing I think as turn the corner and become elite. What Jimbo has done for this team off the field is amazing. Only Nole fans seen how terrible we were in strength and conditioning, nutrition and the support the players got mentally. But his on field coaching and trust in Trickett is a serious concern.

  • It's perspective at this point. FSU will get kids on the name alone, but development or ability is in the eye of the beholder. Bama is probably the only school that deserves benefit of the doubt and they're even at the tipping point now where talent is surpassing development.

    SoCal reached it and went beyond it, as did UF under Meyer. Saban has to be killing himself right now to maintain but shows no sign of stopping.

When we went to nc st we probably had about 30 guys on our roster that will eventually be invited to the combine when all is said and done SND WE FVCKING LOST!!!     Also football in the ACC is far better than its perception nationally, and everybody gives FSU its best shot

    Its not though, upsets happen all the time

    Especially to teams ranked #10 in america who aren't national title contenders

    You act like FSU lost by 20 points, they didn't.... they lost by one on the road, after 3 4th down conversions and after a 16-0 first half... in a game without its best OL, its not that serious bro

    It sucks, but it was one of 2 losses last year... and that is improvement no matter how you slice it

  • I will say this and I may be wrong because I don't read FSU boards, but Clemson is your only legit competition and they seem to believe if they go 1-1 vs us and you they will win a national title.

    Is it like that on Nole boards? Not like we have a chance, but if we win 1 of those games we're guaranteed to face Bama and will win.

    Trust me man I don't worry. If we win we win. I loved fsu football since I was 6 and I'm 29 now. I just call it like I see it. I hope Jimbo gets it together and stays as long as bobby did. Jimbo is a awesome person but I think he has big gameday and trust problems. If we lose to a better team or will lose playing good football then I can live with it. But the way we lost our 2 games last year and UVA the year before is unacceptable.

    1- Jimbo ain't staying that long even if he wins more titles

    2- Jimbo has been a HC for 3 years, no sh*t he has things he needs to improve roflmao

    3- The only thing unacceptable to me is expecting a first time HC to not have bad losses in major division 1 football for the first few years
