I know little about this guy but I have to believe its a step up from a owner who cares more about his soccer team.

This guy is the CEO of Pilot/Flying J stores. His Family is TN's single biggest donor and his brother is the Govenor of TN. He will put some cash into the Browns.

i agree but still cant believe he spent that kind of money for a franchise that has struggled this much lately ; if i am a Browns fan i gotta be happy as you gotta think they are going to spend some money and hire the right coaches to make them more competitive , congrats

The Browns sell out every game. They always have. No one goes to the games anymore but they still buy the tickets. Not sure why. Plus, the TV / radio rights are very lucrative.
Lerner was a terrible owner but he isn't stupid. The team was bought for around 575 million and he sold it for 1 billion. Not a bad profit.
