Except Manziel when he plays crap teams still hasn't done as well as Mariota.
When Mariota played Cal (an FBC team in a BCS conference with an NFL DC with 4 and 5* athletes) he had a better QBR than when Manziel played South Carolina State (an FCS team) or any team for that matter.

Cuz he runs more. Mariota is out of the game in the 2nd half of most their games. Oregon runs the ball 60% of the time and it isn't Mariota running it.
Yard per Play runshing and Passing Mariota is superior.
Less INTs with the same TDs. Mariota has the same amount of TDs while throwing and running less. He is far and away more efficient.
Manziel has less passing yards than WSU does that mean WSU>TAM passing?
No. It's called using perspective.

He has roughly 80 less pass attempts than Manziel. And he STILL has more td's AND less picks. He has probably only played in the second half 5 times all year. He has a higher completion percentage, and is about 25 QB's ahead in qb rating. Sitting at #1 to manziels 27. He is averaging more yards per attempt and has been sacked 9 less times while Manziel has this great line you are crowing about.
Yeah stats sure point to Manziel

You don't need to be rude I'm a realist. Oregon doesn't have a ton of elite talent and I accept that. I said at the beginning of the year Mariota was prolly 4th in the Pac-12 in QBs. However as he has shown he is better than that.
I'm not some huge homer that tries to pimp players.
Outside of Mariota and maybe Barner I'd take the Pac-12 counter part to Oregon's players. ASJ, Ertz>Lyerla: Woods, Lee or Wheaton, Cooks>Huff, Murphy etc..

Mariota is statistically better than Manziel when they play the same level competition and more efficient.
Let's not over hype Johnny. He had 0 TDs and 3 INTs playing LSU.
Last year Thomas did better than that against LSU and everyone will tell you Mariota is far better. In fact a Guy who coached the best prospect since John Elway said this today in a tele-conference.
So Thomas did better than Manziel; against LSU and Mariota is better than Thomas to everyone.
Skill set and stat wise Mariota is superior.

That's way overblown. USC is on the West Coast and has as many Heisman's as anyone. And it's not as if Oregon lacks for media exposure. Mariota is in the conversation, but people have him behind Klein and Manziel. It's reasonable given how each has performed, who they have played against and what talent they have around them. Klein has done as much as Mariota with far less talent around him. And Manziel has played against much better defenses. It's not a West Coast thing.
