This apparent TD that you people keep saying happened would have only TIED the game. As it turns out, guy's forward progress was stopped, no TD, and I do believe Te'o was right there in the middle of the action. Just sayin.

I am an Aggie, but I would just ask if you think Johnny's stats are inflated for some reason or not against good competition or 2 bad games or whatever reason, is that enough to outweigh what he has done, while breaking records the whole season? He played some down teams, but how was that his fault? He went out and went undefeated on the road in the SEC, beat Ole Miss after our defense let them back in the game, same with La Tech, and game out blazing and never gave other teams a chance, like Miss State, Arky, Mizzou, Bama (even though he had to fight to the end here). He also sat out over 2 games throughout the season by blowing out teams early. Then there is the value to a team. Think about how much value he had to A&M. Without him, we are likely mediocre and 6-6 or 7-5, but he brought out the emotion and got every player to buy into a freshman QB leading his team through this season, and came out with a 10 win season.

If you still want to look as stats, Johnny had 9 less TD's than Teo did solo tackles (43 and 52 respectively). It is hard to compare defensive player to an offensive player, but Johnny is as much the heart of A&M team as Te'o is to Notre Dame IMO. And that is with giving out RB's 15 TD's within the opponents 5 yard line that he could have easily run in himself but I won't go there.

As far as Klein goes, come on now, it is easy to compare QB's, and he had 6 games (half his schedule) where he threw for less than 200 yards and 3 100 yard rushing games. Johnny has less than 200 yards passing in 3 games (one where he only played have a game) and 6 100 yard rushing games.

I think Klein and Te'o are great players and not taking anything away from them, only presenting stats to make a case for him and while he may not be an ideal candidate with a couple blemishes on his record, what do the other finalists or anyone have that makes them more qualified or deserving than Manziel?

I've seen where 4 Oklahoma journalist, that voted, made this same argument and that's why they all voted for Manti..
