Jordan Diamond Drops OSU

No they just stick with the ole' academic problems or character concerns. Like they pulled offers to Pittman, Schutt, Diggs, and a host of others. No recruit has ever turned down Michigan University, the ones who go elsewhere have academic problems or poor character. I continue to be amazed that there are 25 kids nationally who pass the academic and character standards for their Ivy League school. Funny also how kids who commit to MU with questionable character, Ringer for instance, somehow get a pass.

Wait, so you are sitting there making these claims on how Michigan treats recruits and then you end up attacking a Michigan recruits character. Stay Classy. lol

Bill Greene was the one who reported Pittman's commitment was turned down. That's a Buckeye in case you didn't realize.

Schutt are you really trying to deny that? roflmao That guy was begging for anyone to take him.

Diggs offer might have been pulled, probably because we had zero shot with the kid.

Yeah, if Buckeyes have problem with the Pittman story, take it to Bill Greene.

Schutt...well, I don't think that even got off the ground, because we got Pipkins the same weekend.

Diggs is the one guy who I think really turned us down....I never really believed their was interest from his side.

So if Urb considered him a difference maker, he WOULD HAVE GOTTEN handouts? That shouldn't surprise anyone. That's been OSU's m.o. for a while and the reason they're banned from post season play this year.

That cat stated it like it is common knowledge for them. Looks like with the hiring of coach urbs, status quo will be maintained.

To be fair, there is precedent with Auburn...

Now that's funny coming from a fan of the team that's actually on probation for providing illegal benefits to players.

Probation, yes, but they never provided illegal benefits. Tressel just lost compliance's number when he found out about benefits received. Besides, it was a joke.

  • There is precedent at Mississippi State let us state fact not media fiction. Ohio state is fact!!! LSU FACT!!! MIAMi IS FACT! All on probation. The NCAA cleared Auburn with all that bad press they never find anything! Its is real easy to say things with no fact people on this board need to have some proof. To repeat what you heard or saw somone else say is reckless. These are young men with there life out in front of them u all need to get life.

Did you ever notice that we did exactly 0 in home or school visits to Diamond since his visit??? And he is visiting all these schools clearly looking for a handout but if doesnt get one (and he shouldnt since he aint a instant difference maker) he will most likely choose you guys. "

    Stay classy bucknuts.

How about Stay classy bigbuxx....I know it suits the internetz flame wars and michigan man attitude to lump an entire sites views together because a couple dozen are retardz but it doesn't make it so. Well, then again i shouldn't lump all Michigan men together just because the ones i've seen on tbb all like to take shots at our home site because some posters w/o VIP say dumb shit...smh

Why was Posey suspended an additional 5 games?

You should re-read you previous post. You just contradicted yourself. Nothing was ever found about the cars or cash even with the heavy media scrutiny.

Because hes an idiot. The team didn't overpay him for his work -- the jock sniffer booster did. I root for the team, not the booster.

  • It is what it is. Every fanbase exhibits sour grapes, but the OSU fans on Diamond really take the cake- when he visited the word from every Buckeye board I saw was that Diamond loved it, he's a lock, better than Kalis, etc. Now he's a guard prospect who Urban did not have room for and who may or may not be looking for a handout.
Its ok- even Urban Meyer loses out on a recruit once in a while.

    My thoughts exactly, +1.

  • From everything I read up until recently OSU would love Diamond.
The backing off of Diamond means either the staff is very confident Dodson is coming or Diamond is not interested.
    Could be both.

Is there another logical reason to drop a highly rated kid at a position of desperate need?

Oh wait, I just learned Diamond wants to get paid. That ties up all the loose ends. What will be the excuse when Dodson and Reeves tell Meyer "thanks, but no thanks".

Interesting picture (middle one) - having trouble finding ladies, do you decided to "do" the OSU truck?

    ...pervert.

    Crickybear

  • The only possible explanation is he wanted to get paid. I got sources on this. We NEVER lose recruits straight up....bottom line.

Wow for a fan base that thinks they're higher on the intellectual ladder than any other you seem to struggle with comprehension. Let me help you out a little...my post never made any claims on how Michigan itself treats recruits. If you were paying attention you would see that I was responding to a Michigan fan, who basically claimed that OSU fans make excuses as to why recruits choose to go elsewhere, in this case that Diamond wants $ or that OSU folks didn't want him anyways. Said post claimed that remarks similar to this aren't found on the Wolverine 247 board. I merely pointed out the different excuses you use over there, mostly that a recruit who chooses another school didn't have the grades or had questionable character. Then I pointed out that you guys seem to give a pass to those with character concerns who are willing to commit to scUM citing Kaleb Ringer as an example. I'm not sure how it is an attack on a Michigan recruit to say that when he gets kicked off of his HS team, that he may have questionable character. Perhaps you should read a little before you post.

Listen, I will educate you folks. Posey received additional money because the positon dictated by union bylaws he was to be paid the amount he was paid. If he wasn't paid then that company could have litigation issues from the union. Have a nice day.

Then why on earth would they agree to work with each other?

If Posey knew the services he would be paid for would be an NCAA violation why would he take the job?

Why would the company hire a guy that they knew would be breaking laws if he accepted? Or hire a guy who could cayse litigation issues as you say?

He could have worked there and not been a member of the union. It's very uncommon for these things to happen, but it does happen. When I graduated High school I went to work for my dad. Every one but me was in the union (I wasn't because I was only working there for a few months till I joined the Army), everyone else started out at about 17 an hour, I started out at 10.

Yeh it's a total load of BS by a Buckeye fan. There was a reason Posey was suspended multiple times for multiple games, because he took illegal benefits. Buckys just trying to sugar coat it.
