Jordan Rules?

Jordan turns 50, would you still start him if he were on your team? I say he could still compete at a higher level than a good majority of people in the league, clutch is clutch... Jordan is clutch period, not to say he wouldnt be a step slower than the elite guys but I think he could still go hard for 20-30 min a night and contribute in a big way.

agree, I think the fear of playing him would net him atleast 15 a game... you cant defend against greatness

One on one consists of a lot less running down the court than a full blown NBA game. They run constantly in the NBA. I'm a huge Jordan homer but I highly doubt he could play a full season averaging more than 20 minutes a game. He'd still score and do all he does, but no way could he play at a high enough level for a full season to be relied on as a big time player.

His FG % the last 5 years of his career.

As he got older his quickness and jumping became less and less of an advantage and he had to rely on fade away jumpers, etc. He was never an elite outside shooter, yet was having to rely more and more on outside shots as he got older...thus the drop in FG percentage. No way he could compete now.

I would take him on the Cavs roster, although in football Cleveland is where careers go to die... Lebron new it.

thats a little back and forth between two sports but I think in either case its relevant

I thinkJordan could still be awesome in a reserve role,but his age would keep him from being able to play more than 10-15mins a night.

His last year with Washington he only averaged 20, but yea 10 years later he could come back and score 5 more ppg. That said, he probably could come back and start for the Bobcats, but that is saying more about how bad the Bobcats are though.

MJ's competitive streak unmatched and he is by far the greatest to play the game. I don't think he could start today, but he could probably give some good minutes off the bench.
