Just one more Tebow thread

  • after much thought, i have come to a decision:

    if you can't AT LEAST respect him for him being a man... honorable, hard-working, true to his word-type throwback, then you can't respect anything mannish at all...

    if you can't respect him for standing up for what he believes and being a class act and etc, then you are just 100% pure hater.

    there are a lot of pure, cold haters, though, so i will not be shocked... but he is, at the least, a stand-up guy who deserves respect

    Not many people don't respect him in those ways. I know I respect him in all of those ways. I don't think he is a great NFL QB though. I think he is average at best.

    There's a lot of players that I think are great people but think they aren't as good as a lot of people think they are. I don't understand why so many people think if you don't care for a player's game then you don't respect for other things. I think Randy Moss is one of the best I've ever seen play. Do I respect him? Nope, I think he is a douche.

    It's tough to respect him in any manner since he completely raped my school for 4 years, but I do. All the things you said are true. However, he's a much better football player in general then he is specifically as a QB. He's not a very good QB, at all. But he's a very good football player.

    Do those same people hate the rest of the NFL for their beliefs? A lot of players openly pray on sidelines. Antonio Brown has a motto of CUEUPU. That means Chest up, Eyes up, Pray up. He has it on t-shirts now.

    People don't like Tebow for the dumbest reasons I have ever heard. Who cares if he prays? Its not him putting himself in the media talking about praying and beliefs. Its the talking heads all over the networks. Blame them.

    Well that's not me I guess. I completely respect the fact he believes in what he does and has zero regret about it. He seems like a very very high character person.

    Randy puts on a front for the media. He is a country boy that has done A LOT for his hometown in West Virginia. Charities, he comes to visit the elementary schools all the time, donations... He is just a fisherman that likes to get the media riled up. That's all.

I respect the fact he works hard and holds to his beliefs with alot of people making jokes at his expense BUT, I do not think he is a good qb that deserves all of the praise he gets as a quarterback. Completion percentage he is in the company of Ryan Leaf and Akili Smith as the worst 3 passers in history. Is he a great guy? absolutely. Is he a good qb? no. just my opinion.
