Why is there a lack of offers for this kid?

Ole Miss finishing probably better than anyone in the country. They are about to kill it this month.

Right after the Townsend hire, this is the 2nd biggest story in Mississippi today....

Going to be a lot of talent up there in a couple years that won't have won many games.

Once Ole Miss is mediocre on the field next year, they won't have much momentum and it will be back to business as usual.

We’ll see. With Depth we would have won Vandy, A&M and LSU this year.

We had Vandy and A&M beat until the final minute in each game. Each game was also decided by blown calls that the SEC later apologized for. We just ran out of steam in the 4th due to lack of depth and scholarship athletes (played against LSU with 59 players, and only 40 were SEC caliber talent).

You also have to realize that we were 2-10 at this time last year. Saben was 7-6 his first year at Bama too, just saying. Anyway, folks paying a attention in the SEC know that Freeze is the real deal and we are on the rise, hence a BAMA fan creating this thread.

Nine is pushing it.

I see Ole Miss at 7-10 wins. The early Vandy game is huge. Vandy is a much improved program and an 9 win team this season. Like Ole Miss, they continue to improve depth and need this game. If they win, they are 2-0 going into Texas. I think they lose to UT, but you never know. UT has been on such a decline as of late anything can happen. Bad QB play can always get you beat so UT is on deck. Ole MIss has a chance here, but I see them at losing and going to 2-1.

Then a loss to Bama, a win over AU, and a loss to A&M.

So going into LSU they are 3-3 with the hardest part of their schedule behind them. This game will set the tone for the season like the Vandy game did earlier. They will need to take the next step. Ole Miss should have beaten LSU this year. They had it, but messed it up late. Now this year, LSU loses damn near everyone, Ole Miss returns everyone, Ole Miss adds an amazing class, and they get them at home instead of on the road. This game is VERY winnable and I think they get it done, finally.

So now they are 4-3 and then beat Idaho, Arkansas, Troy, and Missouri. Now, this is the SEC so there is a decent chance they drop a game like Arkansas randomly, but I don't think they will. That puts them at 8-3 heading into the Egg Bowl against MSU.

Rivalry games are always tough to predict (especially almost a year ahead of time), but Ole Miss will have more talent and should win the game. That makes them 9-3 heading into a bowl game with a chance at 10 wins. That's best case, and they could lose a game here or there, but 8-10 wins next season would be huge. Freeze will sign another top class, these big recruits will have another year in the system under their belt, and they will be heading into the 2014 season with even higher expectations.

It's hard to argue Ole Miss is not one of the hotter teams in the SEC and country. If they can keep Freeze and upgrade their facilities, they have a chance to get their foot into the upper tier every 2-3 years or so.

The good news is, Freeze won't be at Ole Miss longer than 4-5 years. He'll move on to a better program because frankly he's a better coach.

Not sure I see 9 games. You have three toss up games at the beginning of the year. Vanderbilt, Texas, and auburn. Vanderbilt beat you last year and Franklin is in year three. Texas is an enigma wrapped in a riddle. Auburn is the interesting one. Obviously I'm not an auburn fan but they fall in a sweet spot on your schedule. Your tempo, which is really your best advantage, shouldn't be a preparation issue for auburn. Of course auburn has a well known list of issues. That is why I mark it in toss up category. Definitive dogs in Texas A&M, Alabama and LSU games. I believe Missouri should be improved but you should handle them. The bullpups will be preparing for you since yesterday plus it is in Starkville, so I see that as a toss up.

Four toss ups + three likely losses. Lose all of them and your sitting at five wins. If you split toss ups, you get seven. You have to sweep to get nine. Got to believe seven is the reasonable projection.
