Keg question. Please help!

I have a kegerator. I tapped my kegs and didn't realize my co2 is out. Can't get a tank till Friday. Should I unhook them and will that save freshness? Or if it goes stale will it come back as soon as I get my new tank Friday? Thank you.

I'm not sure but to be in the safe side I would un tap it and just keep it refrigerated.

Not to hijack your thread, but it's a related question: I'm thinking of DIYing myself a kegerator and I was wondering where one goes to get their kegs (I'll be using a couple corny kegs) filled, specifically with craft brews and the such rather than, say, Bud Light or some such.

Kroger is where I get mine. Order it before noon and they have it the next day.
I untapped them. Anyone know if I'm gonna lose my fresh beer? Thanks.

Not sure about where you live but in Texas I just order my kegs from a liquor store.
For OP I would just unhook it. It only takes a few seconds anyway.

I think you will be fine. There is some carbonation in the beer without the co2.

8 or 9. I've gotten kegs before for a weekend with a couple friends and take the tap off at night, put it back on the next day and the beer is fine. I wouldn't worry.

I honestly don't know. Drunkenly thinking it help keep the keg fresh? This is also talking about years ago. My point was that untapping a keg for a day or two won't make the beer go flat.

Not sure about that. You can force carbonate a beer with co2.
I have never tried to refresh a stale beer with carbonation.
