Kickoff/Touchback Rules Change

Kickoffs from the 35; touchbacks out to the 25.

NCAA moves kickoffs to 35-yard line, touchbacks moved to 25

Rule change is designed to improve player safety and less possibility of injury during returns.

This, I would tell my kickers. Just send it to the goal line and get them stopped at the 20.

This. Wtf, this isn't the NFL. There are kids that will never make a play on offense or defense out there for kickoffs. Let the boys play, I guaranty those kids aren't complaining about how the game was played.

This is crap. I hated it with the NFL and hate it even more with the college game. I feel like in college, kick and punt returns are an even bigger part of the game.
Time and change will surely (truly) show How firm thy friendship ... OHIO!

How many KO returns that changed games would have never happened? Rocket Ismael against Michigan comes to mind. Maybe he took the kick from the 5 or outside of it, but coaches today will ask returners to take a knee and take the ball at the 25 if it is within the endzone.

It's getting to the point where teams might as well just be handed the ball at the 20 or 25 after a touchdown. The helmet rule is going to end up costing a team by the end of this season as well.
