    More proof that you have no freaking clue, Winston isn't even a top 100 high school prospect in baseball and once you add college kids his chance of getting drafted in the first couple of rounds is incredibly slim.

    Kid is gonna play football in college next year as well as baseball, no doubt about it

    How long he stays is another question

    Here is baseball america's top 100 high school prospects, and the Rivals 100 among many others also don't have Winston in their top 100, yeah his baseball career looks real promising lol get a clue Eroc and stop believing everything you read on the Rivals main-board.

    Winston might get drafted, but it won't be tomorrow or early enough to warrant him leaving high school to go straight to the minors.

    Umm......JW is not eligible for the mlb draft until January. This has already been discussed in another thread. Get back to us after the first of the year......

    Good luck this year replacing 1/2 your offense, including your three best skill-position players. You're going to need it. Last time you had to replace so many starters on one side of the ball? Hmm let's see... that would be last year when you only returned three defensive starters. And your defense? It sucked.

    I still see Winston with the best overall credentials. Accuracy in passing is his only downfall. This is a teachable / learning process. If you can catch him you can't slow down his passing learning curve. Kiel is nailed to three steps back....a LB dream target. If I was smart, I would be richer,

    This is possibly the dumbest post I have seen in the last month.

    Bama's defense last season ranked 6th in the nation in scoring D. 6th! and it only returned 2 starters from the national title team.

    This coming season, Bama returns 9 starters on D and adds Jesse Williams at NT/DE to go along with Chapman. Barron is a projected 1st round Safety, Lester is projected 1st round free safety, Upshaw is projected 1st round LB, Hightower is projected 1/2nd round LB. and all that is only concerning the 2012 Draft.

    The only reason why is because we are LOADED at QB. Otherwise there would be no race, it would be oklahoma all the way. Oklahoma has a quite posibly the finest QB coach/factory in the country. The fact that Oklahoma is still being considered with all the top notch QB's we have says quite a bit about the respect that this program and its coaches have. BOOMER SOONER!

    Oh well, we'll see how it goes but I'm not expecting much anymore. Against Mizzou I felt prestige alone gave us the edge...now...not so much.

  • Well, OU might be third, but Kiel is in Norman now, Dorial Green-Beckham was in Norman this weekend, and Kiel was there as Top 5 WR Durron Neal committed to OU today, so now there is yet another highly rated WR to go along with Stills and Metoyer for Kiel to throw it to. So I wouldnt say Bama is a lock.

    Yes you have been saying that, but there is a difference between an informed statement, and simply opinion, after all, given the odds, saying he won't go to OU is the easiest thing to say. But on all of the boards I've seen you say it on, I've never seen you provide any sound documented reason as to why he would not. Its all conjecture, but there really is no point in saying he is or isnt going to any of the top three UNLESS its your way of mentally preparing yourself for possible disappointment.

    Minor setback in 2006 when Stoops did the anti-Tressel and actually complied with rules and kicked our Terrell Pryor (Bomar) off the team immediately. Sorta stings to lose your up and coming signal caller. Call it an excuse. Imagine Julio Jones playing QB for ya'll last year (Paul Thompson). Still won the Big XII and ate #$%^ to the infamous Statue of Liberty play while eating Tostitos in the desert.

    Your point is easily defensible to a recruit:

    "Look at Sammy B's success and the success QB's have had here in Norman. Oh yeah, also look at how prevalent we are in the top 10 and BCS games over the last decade. Help us win the two or three we'll be in while you are wearing the Crimson and Cream, and why not a NC?".

    Still wish Demarco Murray would have played against Florida. They got Harvin, we lost our leading scorer. Well, looks like we'll just have to make another run this year...

    Hope we play Bama and not the Bayou Bengals. Nothing more ridiculous than playing them in the Dome.

  • Hope he picks us but can understand with Bell and Allen on the roster why he would not. If he does not pick us would not mind seeing him go to Bama. They are a classy bunch of folks with a great football tradition.

    He seems to be on the right track, last I heard he was only a point off, and his grades have improved tremendously. On that note, it looks like Fleming has solved his issues as well, he is expected back in the fall as well.
