Farmers need a great working truck to live. Thats the audience they were targeting and they did a great job of it.
Also, look at the discussions they have created all over the place. They did excellent with that ad.

Nah, this one didn't feel as "Buy Domestic" as the one with Clint Eastwood did last year. This felt more like it was tapping into the "American spirit" and traditional American values. Way more of an emotional connection.

ANSWER: The ones who buy trucks. And by truck I don't mean a little s10
Where are those people located?
ANSWER: Out west on ranches, down south on farms etc. Not in subdivisions and college apartments.
Does Ram care more about making money or appealing to a demographic that wouldn't buy their truck anyway?

I disagree, only on the idea that I don't think the commercial was really targeting farmers or anyone associated with that lifestyle per se. It was more about tapping into the traditional American value of the hard working farmer, earning a living in the fields of the Midwest. It was more emotional than literal IMO.
