  • Not a Basketball fan at all. Haven't watched 1 game this season but how in the hell can those 3 together be so bad?

  • Mike Dantoni. He has no idea how to adjust his scheme to fit aging players, but mostly he can't handle all the egos. The guys don't like playing together and that was what made Phil Jackson so good, he got his guys to set aside their BS and play ball to win.

    Yeah, I said it.

  • ....but even with a coach that is in over his head, they should be winning on talent alone.

    Yeah, I said it.

  • Nash (24), Howard (6), Blake (37), and Gasol (14 + 6-8 weeks on top of those).

That's a lot of gms missed. The Blake injury was huge, because it caused Darius Morris and Duhon to start 26 gms.

This is true as well, they've been plagued by injuries.

    Yeah, I said it.

  • Howard is a biatch. Plain and simple.

He doesn't play hard. Even before the shoulder injury. Last night was an embarrassment though. If you can't play through the pain, then get off the floor.

Tidepride very easy answer a basketball team has to fit perfectly like anything in life, you need players that play well together and don't get in each other's way. The 2004 NBA finals aka the five game sweep is the perfect example, LA had Kobe, Shaq, Malone, the glove 2 top 10 players off all-time vs. billups, rip, sheed, big ben and prince. The pistons were a perfect team with perfect chemistry and every 1 knew their role. Each player complimented the other perfectly leading to them destroying the team with more talent..

I get that, I really do. But damn. You've got 3 of the top players in the league. 60% of their starting 5 are future HOF'ers who don't play like they're past their prime. They should win on talent alone IMO only of course.

Nash isn't a top player in the league anymore. Hasn't been for some time.

KB is having one of his best seasons statistically, but not necessarily a good thing since some of his best numbers have come during when the Lakers were at their worst.

    DH, lolgtfogfygb2FL.

Mike Antoni (No D) makes me want to slit my wrists. Still think he should coach college. Probably would still make as much as he currently does with the Lakers with a lot fewer games and much more control.

Nash is 39 and is use to being an offense where he has the ball most of the time which can't happen in LA b/c of kobe but the biggest difference is D12 before he hurt his back he was agruably the 3rd best player in the NBA and now he doesn't even look close to himself, I don't even know who this guy is has no explosion and just isn't healthy..

Coach D is a system coach who needs the right players for him to be successfull doesn't have that with LA or the Knicks, if he was the coach of Denver or Miami he would thrive b/c they have the right personel for his offense..

    jmsmooth33

  • When Ron Artest is given a green light to shoot 8-10 3s a game, the team he plays for is going to lose plain and simple. D'antoni's system promotes guys like Artest shooting 3s. Also the system doesn't allow a high-low situation. The Lakers basically have the same problem the Knicks had with D'antoni in that there are too many people that are post men (you can't have more than 1) and not enough 3 point shooters. Gasol and Howard cancel each other out because they both bring defenders to the other guy with zero spacing and neither can expand their range often (Gasol can occasionally get hot from 18 ft jumpers but Howard has never taken a good jump shot his entire career).

He was getting beat up in the press for not playing through it and being tough, then he gets beat up for playing and clearly not being 100%. But other than that, you're right. He's a mental midget that can't strive in LA, the biggest market in the NBA. Like someone else pointed out, a lot of injuries. And like someone else said, Nash is 39 and it's starting to really show. This team will get blown up after this season (except for Kobe of course.)

He was getting beat up because doctors cleared him to play, but he was too much of a pansy to get on the court.

Then he went out, and clearly didn't give even close to full effort. He's a giant baby. It was a mistake to aquire him. I'd trade him for Lopez and picks without thinking twice.

Trashing Dwight for being a pansey and you want Brook Lopez mr. I can't get more than 7 rebounds when i'm 7 feet tall, dudes soft as cottonelle tissue. D12 isn't even close to full strenght plus he's playing with a teammate he hates and he still leads the league in rebounds..

Howard is a whiny, pouting little pansy.

Lopez at least plays hard. I don't care if he gets 7 or 10 rebs. He's not going to be a cancer on the roster.

Lulz didn't Dwight take the Orlando MAgic to the NBA finals, how is that a cancer? He doesn't want to be there he was basically forced to play with Kobe; track record with Kobe and Big, SHaq hated him, Andrew bynum trashed him as soon as he left..

So that means you whine and give a half-ass effort to try and get out?

Naw dude hurt his shoulder and obv hasn't recovered from back surgery, he still leads the league in rebounding or does that not count?

    Not really.

He's the most athletic big man in the league. His year over year rebounding production is down significantly as well. Also he's about 8th or 9th in rebounding per 48m.

The sub 50% FT percentage which has declined almost every year he's been in the league tells me he's lazy and just doesn't put in the work.

It's b/c he's hurt doesn't mean he's not trying any 1 who has ever watched D12 play bball knows he's not even close to 100%, he might never be able to return to his elite status b4 the back surgery no 1 knows. To say hes a pansey and than say you want Brick Lopez is absurd..

    jmsmooth33

  • The fact that the dude is 7 ft tall and can't even average 9 rebounds a game is an absolute embarassement, soft doesn't do him justice..
