I don't know what the hell they were thinking on that Fake FG on 4th-and-12.

They didn't deserve the win. Or they would have stopped bama on the last drive. And they would have made the 45 yard fg. Bama deserved the win.

LSU shit the bed worse than sparty today. You have bama's balls in a vice...pin them deep and then let them try to tie it up. If you miss the field goal, not only does the momentum shift, you give them great field position.

It's obvious that the bend don't break defense up by three works always. ALWAYS.

Mett had his best day and both coaches made questionable calls. LSU should have punted on both FG tries (fake and 54yder). Bama should've darn neared sealed it on the drive that ended by the fumble by AJ/Yeldon. Bama for some reason didn't call as many runs in the 2nd half (they avg 6.64 yds/rush). LSU's success running was almost exclusively in the 1st QTR. Even with boneheading playcalling by Bama (run the damn ball) and Mett's best performance LSU couldn't consistently run it in the 2nd half (2.84 ypc - tired D and goood QB play should open up the run). Mett was money on 3rd down, but in the end Bama made just enough plays to win and did so at LSU. You must give Bama credit.

Bama still has some teams left that can win, but LSU was the one team that could match up physically on the line and they have been processed. Bama looks likely for the SECCG and has to be favored to play in the NCG too.

LSU beat us everywhere except where it matters. To the LSU fans on this board, if Mettenberger plays like this over the next year and a half, and if Jeremy Hill gets any better, oh my! Mettenberger played the best game I've seen a college QB play against a real defense. The fade pass for the final TD LSU scored was picture perfect. The corner route that looked like a mirror image of Norwood over the Honeybadger that LSU pulled off actually made me tell another person that the game was over and we'd be lucky to get the ball back. The biggest upset to me was LSU RG and RT versus Bama's NG and DE. Stinson and Williams (half the time) played like crap. Alexander is a damn freight train.

On the otherside, Kouandjio and Fluker made millions of dollars tonight. Mingo and Montgomery were useless minus the fumble recovery by Montgomery. The best defender on LSU's team tonight was actually the guy I kept begging us to attack and that was Jalen Ramsey. The suprise of the night though had to be Bama's predictable playcalling. Pass on 1st. Run on 2nd. Pass on 3rd. LSU used the gameplan Bama used from the national championship as the scouting report and were really effective at slowing Bama down. Should have ran more on first down this game b/c LSU was expecting play action. Also should have thrown the ball more to the backs because Yeldon and Lacy in the open field are beasts.
