    Very true, but if young Robert simply looked at how many people we have sent to the NFL since Coach has been here he would know which school to go to. Marcel was a top 3 pick. We can throw out some good D-Linemen when we get one. Point being we can develop our talent no matter the position.

    Say what u want but when u say who is DL U, just about everyone says LSU.

    FYI, Robert said he would like to play for DL U.. Straight out his mouth.

    And I don't know who has more guys but while these kids have been growing up in their era.. We have been DL U for a long time and that's no secret.

    I do not doubt it, but we had severe limitations with probation. Let us take a look at '07 through now. We are also possibly going to break the SEC record this year with 5 in the first round.

    I am not disputing that they are DL U, BUT the fact is that we can also produce guys from the position at a high level if they have the talent, and recently more guys than just about anyone overall. I can see him going to LSU(Still think we have a good lead) but we are the hot commodity in the country with 2 MNC's in 3 years.

    Not trying to sound like a homer either.

    I wasn't just talking about D-Line. I was saying we can put them in the NFL as high picks if they work hard so that can't really be used against us because someone is DL U. I heard that he wants to play a little JACK which we do better than anyone at right now biggrin

    Like i said, he can def end up at LSU, but because they are known as DL U will not be the determining factor(If it is well thought out lol)

I never said we were DL U, I simply stated we could send guys to the NFL in the top 5 if they committed to work hard.

    This is my take on it from afar. If he wants to play JACK as you pointed out then he'll be at BAMA. If he wants to play DE/DT more specifically "4-3" where a DL gets to put up great #'s it's LSU. At BAMA if he's on the DL his main job is to facilitate OL/space so that the LB's can make plays. Looks like his decision will be made know soon, so we'll see.

    After the next few years that will include:

    Josh Chapman (probable 2nd to 3rd rounder this year)
    Jesse Williams
    Quinton Dial
    Damion Square

    Rivals love to throw out the "Bama hasn't had many NFL players" comment, but the fact is that Saban's players are just now coming through the program and becoming draft eligible. Hell, after Saban's first year, we had ZERO draft picks. Think about that for a minute. So yeah, if you look at the total number right now they are a little skewed from the probation and Shula years. What is undeniable right now is that Alabama is pumping out more first rounders than anyone.

    Word on the street is he told a bunch of LSU players this past weekend he didnt want to play LB and knows LSU is DLU ...

    This is incorrect. We are not going to have a 300 pound LB. He will more than likely play all three positions on the DL at some point. We have told him we are going to use him and move him around just like Marcel Dareus.

    It's March and I'm already tired of arguing about Reuben Foster and Robert N..
