LSU still thinks they're the better team.

Um. No. Bama played their regular like they do everyone else but they were finally matched with talent and got their ass kicked up and down the field? This was the same Bama team I have seen play all year. They just got hit in the mouth and didn't respond until a minute was left in the game.

I have seriously never seen more whining from fans that won a game. What nobody is kneeling down at your feet theis week and yall can't handle it? Truth hurts brah. We lost I admit it. Why can't you admit the better team didn't win? Most of you said that after 11/5 last year but not this year? Hypocrites!

The better team did win. Thanks for the hospitality.

We turned it over twice and got "dominated" to the tune of 17 points. Don't worry, we'll play the best team in the east. Cheer for them.

Aside from missing 2 field goals and deciding against kicking two other medium-range field goals, they gave you the ball at their 44 after a TD.

The fake field goal and the Spencer Ware under center on 4th down, instead of getting easy points, were two of the worst coaching calls I've seen in a while. The unsportsmanlike against Copeland saved you from having to defend 1st and 10 at your 13 yard line.

They definitely left points on the field because of Miles and you made them pay for it. This thread is only necessary in the minds of Bama fans who are upset they weren't dominant against a rare legit opponent. Instead, Bama was physically dominated by the only good team on the schedule to date.

Everybody knows LSU played very well while Bama pulled it out, but saying "LSU played its A+ game while Alabama played its B- game" is your way of justifying the fact your team was exposed as merely a desperate, opportunistic bunch, who escaped because of timely penalties and multiple horrid decisions by Les Miles.

    WhatAboutBobby

  • It's obvious Alabama fans are starting to realize when Bama struggles mightily with the one or two tough opponents they play each year, they may not be as "dominant" as they want everyone to believe.

14-0 with 3 in 4 is A ok with me. Enjoy it.

At least you will have earned your spot in the title game on the field this year. I commend you on that.

  • When Mettenberger plays like he did last night, I truly believe LSU is the second best team in the country. I think LSU would have beaten Oregon last night. The question is if Mettenberger can consistently play like that, or if he was just super hyped up for the biggest game of his life. Good game LSU, you guys outplayed us but we outcoached yall and wanted it more at the end.

    This is typical.

No it is pretty much dead on. LSU easily won most of the 2nd Half. Both Coaches made questionable calls. LSU got a few lucky bounces (neither fumble was due to a hit and bounced to the LSU guy). Bama won in the trenches (6.6 vs 2.8 ypc) and AJ had all day to throw. AJ played bad and Mett played his best game (until the last drives for each when it counted.

It was 14-3 at the half. K? Can't ignore that. We won the first half, you won the second half, we won the game. Your "dominant" performance will make you better down the road in the Cotton Bowl. G'night.

  • This thread is why many dislike the Bama fan base.

LSU played great and very poorly at times.

I just watched the game again...LSU should have won the game.

The Yeldon fumble was huge but so was the onside kick play ...and Mccarron missed some open guys...

LSU lost when they got inside the Bama 30 4 times and got zero points...twice in the 4th....bazzar game ...LSU dominated according to the Stats...double in TOS...

    Upsetting for LSU fans....

    oh well

Better team? LSU had everything going in their favor...revenge, home field at night, bye week....and it still wasn't enough. Moral victories FTW lol I guess...

I realize this thread is the result of your insecurity for having narrowly escaped after getting manhandled by the only decent team you've played to this point, but how can you be sure LSU played its A+ game and Alabama played its B- game?

With its A+ game, LSU recovers the onside kick legally, doesn't call the stupid fake field goal, and doesn't miss another field goal. They also don't play prevent on the final drive.

What makes you believe they played the absolute best they could while your team phoned it in? Because they had their way with you and left 6-9 points on the field?

Mett can't possibly play better than he did last night....however, AJ played his worst game if the year. 2 turnovers to 0, etc, etc....

You know just as well as I do that getting past the 30 and scoring points on Bama is next to impossible. We don't concede points and you have to earn them. You know this because LSU's D is the same way. Driving in the open field is one thing. Scoring on Bamas D with their backs pressed against a wall is another.

It's obvious Mett was in the zone last night and LSUs wrs were playing lights out. That gets a little harder in the red zone. Bamas DBS were playing great coverage even getting their hands on the ball several times yet the Mett was putting the ball in the perfect spot every time. He was playing out of his mind. Yet Bama still won. AJ had his own magic in his back pocket. And you can't separate coaching decisions from the play onthe field. Les is just as much a part of the game plan and team as anyone. His bone headed calls as a coach are part of the game plan. If you blame it on Les you're still saying LSU. You can't separate Les from the players on the field.

I'll tell you what IS typical, and that's us winning in the toughest place to play in college sports - Death Valley - where I believe we're 25-9-2 (.722) all-time and 17-4-1 since 1970. Death Valley, where dreams do come true.

It's gonna sting a little while. Don't rub it.

You obviously played your best game in the first half. Which is why the game was a bloodbath statistically but was lost by stupid coaching decisions such as forsaking to attempt two chip-shot field goals.

The Alabama offense is still the same one-dimensional attack that is inept without excellent play from elite RBs. Had the onside kick not bounced back into the kicker, I fear your front seven might have died.

Alabama had elite play from the rbs in this game, averaging around 7 per carry. The problem is we didn't commit to it enough. LSU certainly never proved they could stop it.

How could they dominate the entire game when they were losing 14-3 at the Half? Really you barners are so sad desperately trying to live vicariously through other teams because yours sucks so bad.

Are you kidding? Les Miles and his stupid decisions played a huge part in that 14-3 deficit. You are in field goal range, but you attempt a fake and get stopped short. You then attempt a 55 yard field goal and miss. This gives Alabama the ball at their own 40 yard line. There was only around a minute remaining in the first half. If you punt Alabama inside their own 20 yard line, they likely never score a 2nd touchdown in the first half
