LSU still thinks they're the better team.

  • As an LSU fan here's my take. LSU outplayed Bama and by a pretty wide margin but Bama is the better team. We had a hot night, fueled by fierce motivation. That was the type of game our team is capable of having every week but we aren't consistent enough this year to sustain it. Bama does sustain consistency and that's why they're better. A lot of the reasoning behind Bama's B game was because of LSU. It was the 1st time this year that another team could stand toe to toe with Bama and they folded a bit but had enough resolve to take advantage of the opportunities we gave them to win the game. It's what good teams do. It was a great game and I'm proud of the way both teams played. I don't care what anyone says about another team, on most Saturdays the 2 teams on the field Saturday night in Baton Rouge would beat anyone else. They're the 2 best programs in college football at the current time. When either plays well no one is beating Bama or LSU except the other. It's not gonna stop anytime soon either. Both programs are loaded for the future and continue to add major, major talent. Bama could be scary, scary good next year if most of the studs return, particularly McCarron.

Are you kidding? Les Miles and his stupid decisions played a huge part in that 14-3 deficit. You are in field goal range, but you attempt a fake and get stopped short. You then attempt a 55 yard field goal and miss. This gives Alabama the ball at their own 40 yard line. There was only around a minute remaining in the first half. If you punt Alabama inside their own 20 yard line, they likely never score a 2nd touchdown in the first half

How about 2 fumbles when it appeared Alabama was about to seize total control of the game? And neither was "forced"...just mishandled by Alabama. The first fumble came at a very bad time as Alabama was up 7-3 and would have had it at midfield after a 3 and out following a methodical TD drive. GTFO Barner.
