    They beat you in your house. They were inside your 10 yard line three times. You didn't get past their 20 in the whole game. LSU would win by 10 on a neutral field.

    BCS #1 to play BCS #2 unless they've played before, then BCS #1 plays BCS #3.

    No, they wouldn't. This was about as evenly a matchup as there could've possibly been. Only way it could'be been more so is if one of the teams was playing a cloned version of itself. 5 times out of 10 LSU wins, same for Bama. It's amazing that we could only lose by 3, all be it in our stadium, and people want to just absolutely lambast us. I don't get that at all.

  • I would prefer playing that extra game especially when it is a game you know you will more than likely win and having the SEC championship. LSU has the chance to be SEC champs and NC and unless LSU gets beat by Arky which I doubt will happen Bama will just have the chance at being NC if everything falls in place for them. If it is the voters job and BCS job to put the two best teams against each other in the NC it is unfair to Bama if they do not get in being that just about everyone still thinks they are the 2nd best team. It is all just a matter of how you look at it is all I am saying. Nothing in college football is really fair or has been for a long time. Auburn fans of all people should know that. As a Alabama this is were our fanbase and tradition can really help us along with probably really being the 2nd best team if not the best in the nation. I do understand TIGERS argument though.

  • You know, I was very respectful to LSU fans after this game. I haven't even said I want a rematch. We had our chance, we lost, that's our deal. But damn guys, it's nearly impossible for fans of losing teams to have a discussion on here sometimes.

    I would rather watch LSU win the MNC by 77 than watch a rematch with Bama. You're argument is the exact same argument that michigan fans used in 2006 before USC destroyed them in Pasadena. We don't know if Bama is the second best team in the country or not, but we sure as hell know that they aren't number one.

    The entirety of the argument behind it being unfair for Bama and LSU to meet again in the BCSCG lies in the fact LSU will have played one more game. A game that is the de facto play-in to the national title game. Not only do they have to play it, but if they lose, they won't go the the BCSCG. For Bama to be able to not even win its own conference and still go would be a tragic logical fallacy. On top of that, if LSU did win the SECCG, they would sit at 13-0. Bama would be 11-1. That one extra game is certainly unfair to LSU. Why should Bama be rewarded for losing at home to LSU? That makes no sense. The glove does not fit, mirite?

    So, if a rematch was going to occur, and it was known before the SECCG... the only fair way to do it would be to bypass the SECCG and just award the SECC to LSU. That is the ONLY way it would be fair to have a rematch of November 5th. I would not be against this. Any other way is degrades nature of CFB in general. Each week is do or die. That's the beauty of this thing and part of the reason we all love the game.

    Just to play advocate, isn't the entire point of the BCSCG to pit the #1 and #2 team against one-another? Who's to say that LSU and Alabama aren't still the #1 and #2 teams in the country?

    The goal of the BCS is to find out who the No.1 team in the nation is. We already know it is not Alabama.....so next.

    Go to user options. Click on the settings tab. It should give you the option to type in your first and last name with a checkable box that says "show full name on my posts". Type whatever you want into your first and last name, check the box, and it will display it right below your post star ranking.
