Lakers' season is done....

  • would have been too soon 45 seconds ago but not now. Kobe gets a year older, Gasol starts getting old next year, Metta is old.....do they begin to fade? Could be interesting to see if a push for Dwight doesn't get reignited.

    I would have told you prior to the playoffs starting they would only make it to the Conference Semi-finals...

    They accomplished what was expected out of them... The Lakers were never really a contender this season.

    Even though they were punked by the Spurs the Clippers are the rising team in LA. The Lakers have cycles jut like good college football teams do and they are due for a down slide.

  • They get Darron Williams and they will be contenders next year. That is the only way though. I don't see anyone in the NBA winning 6 rings at this point. Someone would need to make one hell of a run to do it.

    Spurs-Thunder should be exciting. I still think the Heat make the finals. Hard to see anyone beating the Spurs right now though.

  • They will definately make moves. As will the Celtics. I think if the Thunder go on to beat the Heat persay it will be the passing of the torch. The dawn of a new age.

    I don't know. I'm not a Lakers fan. I just had a guy who is a Lakers fan tell me they wanted Williams so I figured they were in play for him. Mavs should be really good with Williams running point.

    Thunder have to get past the Spurs to get a shot at the Heat. Spurs are the best team in the NBA right now.

    Nash could be a Laker, would be a GREAT fit.

    He just signed up as GM for Team Canada. Toronto will offer him much more money than any contender.

    His marketability in Toronto is out of this world, it's easy to turn down 5 million perhaps. But it's more than salary, I don't think you understand how much people love Nash in Canada.

    As for Okc vs LA, they passed LA last season, in terms of being a better squad. But, the Spurs have been the best for 2 yrs running.
