Has pretty much hit all the right buttons during the sanctions. He's almost the ideal fit a young, energetic guy who is among the top recruiters in the game. He's a good coach. That being said,,, part of what makes him throat is that he's cutthroat, he's got a nastiness/ mean streak to him. Like the great Saban/Meyer. Win at all cost, even if it hurts people's feelings, they will forgive u when that crystal ball is being hoisted in the air.

I agree with the OP. He has pretty much negated the sanctions by recruiting as well as he has. But his team staying healthy has been the biggest factor. He's a great coach & recruiter, but he's also a guy that you can only like if he's your coach.
