I was one of the few that counted him genius when he left Tennessee and I've said what's in the headline a few times in the last 12 months on here but wanted to say it again. He'll be an All timer. His only downside will be his insatiable vanity that will lead him to the NFL for 4-6 seasons before returning to CFB again IYAM
USC's 2013 class will be sick, yes. 2014 will be extremely good. Then they'll sign around 32-34 in 2015 and it will be the most ridiculous thing anyone has ever seen.
There isn't a rival in the PAC12 that can match them, Oregon is hanging with right now due to an amazing system but it will begin losing out to their superiority in the trenches with regularity.
USC's going to average right at 12 wins a year while he's there, the entire time he's there. I got the priviledge to work for him for the year he was at UTk. He's 95% of what Saban became in his 60s and Lane is in his late 30s.

I don't like this thread, I still hold a grudge against Kiffin for his spell as Raiders HC.

Agreed, but I'm not sure if 2015 can surpass what is going on now. I guess time will tell.
IMO, it will be Kiffin and Sark/Tosh battling in the PAC. Chip is getting his a** handed to him on the trail, and his dislike for recruiting will make it worse if he doesn't lock up the north with UW rising. That system was awesome for a few years, but it's the Jim's and the Joe's.
Ps don't get banned, you're a good poster.

He can clearly recruit, but I'm not sold on him as a HC. Raiders didn't go so well. UT was a one year gig and he only won 7. And in his first two years at USC, before any scholly reductions hit, he went 8-5 and 10-2. There's nothing wrong with that, but it's not exactly the USC I remember under Pete Carroll.
IMO LK's too offensive oriented. The most successful college HCs have been defensive coaches at heart and I don't see that in LK. He has his dad to handle that side of the ball for now, but Montee won't be around forever. And USC won last year with offense not defense. The defense paled in comparison to the ones Petey regularly put on the field just a few years earlier. When LK puts a top 10 defense on the field (and with the talent he has access to, there's no reason he shouldn't), then I will become a believer. But I think it's very likely LK is more of a Bobby Petrino than a Nick Saban.
