You're idiots. It started when he won 2 national championships with USC in 03, and 04. He went to the raiders, and although on several occasions it has since been proven that several decisions made by Lane Kiffin, that Al Davis overruled, including firing the defensive coordinator which Al later did himself, were the right decisions, and he increased their win total from the previous year. Then he went to Tennessee, and took a garbage team to a winning record, while nearly knocking off both #1 Florida and Alabama. Then he went to a severely depleted USC team, recruited his butt off to begin building the roster back up. He went 8-5 in his first year, but was less than 10 points away from 10-2, then he goes 10-2 the next year with a defeat of Oregon in their stadium. Now, this year, USC is missing the veteran leadership on the d line, but are 6-3 still within striking distance of the Rosebowl. Not bad for the coach of the team with the second worst sanctions since the death penalty.

He won at Southern Cal in the early 2000 because of Pete and benefitted that the NCAA did not test for HGH (too expensive). Dr. Ting was supplying the same 'clear' to USC football players as Barry Bonds was receiving. Not a shocker several went on to the NFL and failed PED testing.
Also - the recruiting benefitted from Agents hanging around practice and all the extra benefits players received. If you think Lane came up with sending females to HS games to bang recruits in Tennessee - you are a fool. That was all Petey.
Lane has benefitted like every famous actor in Hollywood - a well known and connected parent.
He has a stable of 5-star recruits and struggles - he is no Nick Saban, who gets the most out of his talent.
What he is really benefitting is from 10 years of winning when Petey came to town because young boys were branded by USC's success. They grew up Trojans and look past the tangibles as most kool aid drinking fans do.
