Well, since none of you where there or could hear the question, none of you have any idea what you're talking about.
I was there and I heard the question. The question itself broke news about an injury status. That isn't allowed. If he had continued with the interview, there is a 100% chance that someone, somewhere, would have reported what SC didn't want reported. So, he ended it. It makes perfect sense to me. I'm just thankful that I have access to practice, because they could close it if they wanted to. It seems pretty nice that he would keep the practice open even though he would prefer that it was closed.
I don't know Lane well enough to know if he's a good or bad person, has been nothing but helpful and kind to me.
At the Pac 12 media day, he gave me one on one time that wasn't expected to explain the answer to question that he couldn't discuss in front of others. He could have told me to buzz off, he could have said no comment, but I wanted an answer and he was kind enough to help me out. This was, of course, after the time that's allotted for him to speak to the media. He had no obligation to me and he still took a good chunk of time to talk with me face to face. That's pretty nice. So, maybe he isn't a total jerk and maybe he doesn't hate the media (all though I wouldn't blame him because it wouldn't be news if anyone else skipped out on a practice interview). Maybe he has rules because he wants the best competitive advantage possible.

There is seriously nothing Lane can do, good or bad, that he's not going to get hammered on. To an extent he's made his own bed, but whatever, IMO every petty sh*t storm he has to endure is good for him. He's still really, really young for a head coach - esp for such a high profile team. He's still learning...
