Just go to Best Buy and get one on sale. I treat them as semi-disposable products and buy something with no bells or whistles and replace it every few years. $600 is the most I will pay.

It's awesome. It only has 3-4 (hundred) virus' on it. None of them from watching porn

If a MacBook and an HP were sitting side by side for the same price, I'd probably just take the HP unless I planned to sell the Mac, buy a PC, and pocket the tl difference. I definitely wouldn't pay a nickel more for the Mac.

I've have an HP I bought for $600 in 2007 and it is still going strong. I bought it, as I said above, to be disposable. Only problems I've had is that I dropped it and broke the LCD screen and I wore out the DVD writer after copying around 1,000 DVDs. I replaced the screen for $20 and the DVD writer for $13. Thats $633 over 5 years. How much have you spent on Macs in the same time period? Guess you really don't get what you pay for.

Buy a MacBook pro on it.
I did this, cost 1500$ with Microsoft office and stuff but it's 18 months no interest so I'm paying 90$ a month.

I have a MacBook, MacBook-Pro and Ipad to go along with my Iphone ( yes Im g-word... save it ) and its amazing how they all connect to each other and are basically one machine all working together and its so easy to operate
I can connect my Ipad or computer to my smart TV and control it with my Iphone, if that isn't sweet than neither are boobs
