Carl Lawson obviously doesn't lack any confidence and is being VERY mysterious about his recruiting....If he wants early playing time and is all he seems to be / all he thinks he is....He could come in and start as a freshman with all the DE's that are graduating....I like his swagger...we NEED some players with swagger , that CAN back it up!!

He does .... Carl texts me all the time to let me know about new offers --- new offers for his teammates that is.
He's the biggest fan of the guys he plays with.

Status Quo: same 5 schools involved ... bama, clemson, georgia, florida and auburn
I'll have a story on him either later tonight or first thing in the morning.

Keith, since you may know him best, can you give a % of where he ends up? I tend to think he sticks with AU, but he certainly doesnt do anything to back that up.

Not ready to give percentages yet, but IMO Ole Miss is the biggest threat

When he signs with Auburn, Corey Lemonier will be forgotten about very quickly. Not that Corey didn't do great things for us, I just think this kid is a J. Clowney caliber DE with less height but more quickness and power. Gonna be a monster, and the way it looks, he'll be playing beside M. Adams for 3 years before the draft.

I tnink the thing that stands out to me most is the maturity that Carl continues to show throughout a very difficult period. He simply states "no comment" with poltieness and a smile. And that is a mature way to answer the constant questions that he receives. Great - and intelligent - family support is all he needs and is getting and the decision will be theirs. Yes, would love to see Carl on the Plains. As much about his talent but even more so, to add another great family to the AU family. We just have to be patient and understanding. He is not being "mean" or "not honoring his pledge", he continues to simply work through his options methodically and maturely and as indicated - LETS HIS PLAY SPEAK FOR ITSELF. Good luck in what ever direction he takes, but do hope to see him on the Plains. WDE
