Lebron James is on his way...

  • kitemac said...

I guess I could list more out but what's the point. He could shatter every MJ record except for the championships and you would still say MJ was better. LBJ will go down as one of the best ever if he continues. It will always be hard to judge someone vs someone else in different eras.

If Lebron averages more points in Playoff history than Jordan or scores more than 63 in a playoff game I will never post on here again..

Can't compare that to Jordan b/c LEbron came out of HS while Jordan played at UNC till he was a Junior..

Yes I can. Jordan should have been a better high school player. Also it's not LBJ's fault Jordan wanted to fail at baseball and end his career early.

It was a different era most kids came out of HS after KG declared but never didn't do it in the prior to the mid 90s..

Ya obv I was pointing out that even though this stretch is impressive Jordan's was better, Jordan was going up against far better rim protectors such as hakeem, shaq, admiral, zo.

Well.... During the same part time frames that Jordan played Lafayette Lever, Jason Kidd, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, and Grant Hill all had more triple doubles than Jordan... I wouldn't say that it was that impressive actually.

  • MJ averaged a triple double his senior year to say he wasn't a good high school player is completely false..

Again triple doubles weren't his thing in the NBA considering...

It's not impressive that he had a triple double 10 out of 11 games with the FG % who else has done that in the modern era?

I'm just pointing out his Stats man relax, i know the mans career he's a scoring machine; he averaged the most points in NBA history in the playoffs and most points in playoff history. I was just comparing a stretch of games do you understand?

    Nba teams disagreed with you

Why are you so butthurt over LBJ? It's clear you just don't like him. I wasn't asking for defensive awards.

I know MJ's numbers were similar i thought you were referring to the 93 playoffs when he was unguardable:
    35, 29, 39,43,18,32,31,27,36,22,54,29,25,

NBa finals buckle your seat belts:
    31,42,44,55,41,33

Why would I be butthurt if your going to display an argument you need empirical data to back it up..

  • Love how the guys that are itt saying how terrible the NBA is are the same guys saying they will only watch 1 or 2 games a year. Big sample size there. lol

You are missing out on seeing one of the most gifted athletes to ever live just so you know. LeBron can play any position 1-5. He can rebound, pass, shoot, drive, post up, and play solid D on anyone on the court. Its unreal. But, you won't watch because they can't hand check now cry and they wear fake glasses. Who cares what they wear. Dennis Rodman wore a goddamn wedding dress and he's one of the badasses of 90s NBA.

Just so you know they took out the illegal defense rule that existed in MJs time. Defense is much more complex now. The rotating defense schemes that some of these teams play was illegal then. You couldn't bring a guy from the weak side to double like you can now. The average athlete is also much better than they were then. So there aren't big name big guys roaming the paint, but there are still plenty of guys with a ton of length and jumping ability to protect the rim.

Oh, my bad. For a second it looked like we were only factoring in points into this discussion...

What about the fact that Lebron plays against bigger, stronger, and faster guys than Jordan did.

Lebron has not surpassed Jordan yet... But it's closer than most think.
