I haven't heard about this. Sort of like the Aubs paying Cams dad because technically, that's legal.
Who knows but it wouldn't surprise me.. But I don't think Miles is smart enough to do this so if true, it would probably be a grad assistant or someone like that.

Since when is it legal to pay anyone? Oh yeah, never as far as I know. You can think whatever you want, but no one ever proved we paid Cam's dad, which is why nothing was ever done about.
Of course, I can also believe LSU paid Patrick Patterson since a former Texas A&M assistant coach claims Will Lyles asked for $80,000 in return for Patrick Peterson's commitment and Will Lyles has actually admitted to personally escorting recruits to LSU's campus

I don't recall any program Saban was HC of ever getting into NCAA trouble during or immediately after his tenure.
Do you have anything other than hearsay backing up your claims he was dirty while at LSU?

Getting in trouble and not getting caught are two different things. Trust me that we do just as much as any other program does. You don't get classes like we do when every other school is paying people just because they have the opportunity to win rings. It's not rocket science. We ALL cheat.
Plus the textbook thing happened under Saban but I don't think he had a clue about that honestly.

I'm just saying that since he wasn't caught you have no real evidence that he has EVER been involved in any kind of NCAA trouble. I don't doubt that things go on behind the scenes with boosters and such but I don't think Saban facilitates or directly knows (probably suspects).
And the textbook case was being investigated before Saban arrived- the sanctions weren't announced until after he became the coach.

I don't disagree with that and I really am a Bama fan. I just don't buy that the thinking like most that Saban is clean as a whistle. I really think it's trivial when one person says one coach is worse than another in college football. We all have skeletons in our closets.

Until I have a reason to think someone is dirty, I don't.
I place more blame on boosters at schools than I do HCs. I think most HCs are careful these days to avoid asking too many questions- as I suspect Saban does. So while he may suspect something, he probably doesn't know for sure who is paying who.

Supposedly you Aubs donated to his church to get him the money- or some such nonsense.
What makes me mad though is there really wasn't a loophole in the rules. The meaning of the rule was clear and they chose to misinterpret it in order to keep Cam eligible.
So whether or not you paid him, they solicited money and he should have sat out. That's why your title is tainted.
