  • Who gots tha best LBs in tha country this year???
    FSU??
    BaMa??
    Florida??
    PSU??
    TexAs??
My USC TrOjans- All 3 were Freshman last year. Pullard/Bailey are big time playmakers and will only get better, Bailey is undersized tho at 6' 210,Dawson has potential. Probably will develop into one of tha best LB cores by the end of the year,d

  • BAMA, FSU not sure about the rest. Oh yeah, those LSU guys to

Michigan State is right up there, though I'd probably give Alabama the edge over the rest. Denicos Allen is an absolute pass-rushing monster, Bullough is one of the best MLBs in the nation, and Chris Norman is one hell of a run-stopper.

  • ND has 5 to add to the mix -

    Manti Te'o - All American
    Carlo Calabrese - Run Stopper
Dan Fox - fast and great in coverage
    Prince Shembo - Scary Potential
Ishaq Williams - will break out in his sophomore year

  • Hodges for PSU should be very good. Mauti would be great, but he's a bit of an unknown with the injuries. Carson in the middle will be solid. Khairi Fortt is very good depth at this point.

We won't be best in the nation, but we've got a very good corps of LB's.

I won't argue, but I've come to realize that sometimes silence is the best answer..

I don't see how any logical human being would argue against Bama

Woukd to see UGA and Auburn on paper

Im guessing they could slide into my third spot

I love FSU's top 4 and we could be in the running for top 5 unit

You could argue against Bama for the sole reason that they have to replace the production of two really damn good NFL LBers (1st and 2nd rounders). But their backups have experience and time in the system. They should be really good no doubt.

Yeah but i follow recruiting and know what they still have compared to others

Bama has the best and deepest unit imo, no doubt

Te'o is great but hasn't made many game changing plays and doesn't force TO's. CC4 is horrible defending the pass. Fox has one year of experience and he overran way to many ball carriers and coverage was far from great. Ishaq has all the tools, but still needs to translate it on the field. Shembo took a huge step back as a SO and was non existent last year.. What's your opinion on Motta?

I really like our LB core.. Jon Bostic and Jelani Jenkins are both very, very good and will be playing on Sunday's.. Larentee McCray and Mike Taylor are no bums either, very talented and could start just about anywhere.. Then we have several young guys with alot of potential: Darrin Kitchens, Nerion Ball, Gideon Ajagbe, Antonio Morrison and Jeremi Powell..

Just about anywhere ? Ugh, no

Good LB core yes, but your bench is not that good to say they could start just about anywhere

Yeah, I started to add Uga to my list as well. Still not sure past those four, maybe Texas

Your right, I shouldnt have said "anywhere".. But they could start for some(not all) teams in the SEC, Big 10, Pac12 etc.. I was just using an example

  • I'm not going to say anyone's the best, because I honestly haven't studied the backers at many places. Someone mentioned AU earlier, and that's one school I obviously hear a lot about. Friend of mine is an AU grad that thinks Aub is gonna be awesome this year (it goes without saying, but I'll say that I disagree anyway). I asked him what their biggest weaknesses were on O and D. He said linebackers for D and none on O (thinks Frazier will be the next Cam..blah blah).

On Bama, we lost 2 great ones, but I honestly believe CJ Mosley is going to finish his career just as good a player as Hightower, and much better in coverage. He's just a junior, and projected by most as first round. Senior Nico Johnson was a 5* that started 1 full season year before last in place of Hightower and should be All SEC caliber. We have 2 Jacks that are monsters, and appear to be right on schedule, but I won't crown them until I see them as full time starters. Trey DePriest is a true soph that got PT last year and seems to have a great nose for the ball. I'm not saying no one has better, I just don't know who.
