Also was good at WR. Tight-rope sideline catch was very nice.

After watching the linked video Keith did last night and reading the linked article this morning, I came to a couple of conclusions.

I know Keith is earning his money and I know North is my favorite recruit so far for 2013 even if he goes to a Rival school (which is highly likely).

No one could ask a reporter to conduct a better interview with a subject that just had no desire to answer any questions about the proposed topic. I can only guess he was expecting questions about the game even though you obviously work for an outlet that specializes in recruiting.

The fact that North isn't discussing himself and his recruitment is pretty refreshing even if it doesn't satisfy our thirst for info on him and even if it makes Keith's job nearly impossible. He really does want to keep his focus on his team's season.

The linked Charlotte Observer article has one of the greatest thoughts I ever read from a 17 year old kid who is probably hearing nothing but praise from grown men.

“I feel like this,” North said, his baritone barely at a whisper, “I like the (recruiting) attention, but I try to not get too high on it. I mean, once college ball starts, everything starts over anyway. Whatever you were in high school, it doesn’t mean so much.”

This guy is a great athlete (4.3 forty) who is obviously intelligent (3.5 GPA) and he is well grounded. He has the advantage of a dad that played pro ball but it sounds like he has been blessed with parents that are keeping him in check too.

Would expect him to be a great teammate that I would love to see play at my school. I doubt that happens but I'll watch his career and probably pull for him, unless he plays against my team.
