And don't even get me started on the club length crap. Completely bs and not in the spirit of the rules.

Guys were anchoring it to their forearm. It took the hands completely out of the putt.

I liked what Jack Nicklaus said the other day about it. He said that it is up to the USGA and that the PGA should not have a separate set of rules.

Agreed belly putters are cheating, but 99% of the average golfers don't play by the rules so I think the USGA shouldn't change the rule but the pros shouldn't be allowed to use them.

If you can't anchor to your wrist or body how do they still provide an advantage?

You could do that with a short putter if you really wanted to

I'm pretty sure that the forearm isn't considered anchoring because the forearm moves during the putt. Only anchoring to the belly is illegal.

The issue is creating a fulcrum. A fulcrum changes the game. Golf is about the swing. Being fulcrums into the game is not fair. It's about the human ability to master a swing. Not to master science and physics.

I putt unorthodox but still in the laws of the game. As a lefty, I hold the top of the club with my right hand and then the bottom of the grip with my left hand, for me it takes out a lot of wobble of the club face compared to if I kept my hands together.

No but I carry 16 clubs, that's certainly not allowed.

Also, lefties were banned from golf a long time ago
