I thought Reed had a decent season. With a couple more playmakers around him, I think he will have a much better year this year. Also, when you are the pitch/motion guy in Malzhan's offense, and the QB is no threat to hurt you on the ground, it makes it easier to focus on that guy.
See the big runs that McCaleb had with Cam at QB. You had to get the ball out of Cam's hands and that left McCaleb in open space and 1 on 1 very often. Last year, you could just force Trotter/Mosley back to the middle and they weren't going to hurt you.
