Louisiana Tech Bulldogs, 9-3, won't go to bowl game - ESPN

Louisiana Tech will not play in a bowl game this season after finishing 9-3 and turning down an invitation to play in the AdvoCare V100 Independence Bowl, a source told ESPN.

To be fair, conference aside, the Independence Bowl is kind of a slap in the face to a 9-3 team. Hell, we only had to go 6-6 to get there a few years ago.
Granted, it used to be an SEC tie-in bowl.

That is pathetic. Protecting one's own mediocrity. They do know that people outside of LA already consider LA-Tech and ULM on the same plane, right? I guess not...

Yep..that's basically what I heard. Moronic decision by the AD. Those players earned a bowl game.
