    Braves got rid of Ross backup catcher and brain is goin to miss first 2 weeks of season flowering shoulder surgery so we have to get a catcher and looks like bourn is not coming back so we signed Jordan shafer

    Schafer was strictly a depth move. Sounds like we want BJ Upton

    BJ isnt a good bat. Im telling you as a Rays fan he is not worth the money. He had a GREAt second half last year but look at his numbers. Between him and Uggla I promise you would turn into a Phils or Mets fan by seasons end. Not a better defensive outfielder in the Majors than BJ though.

  • I'm not a huge Upton fan but CFs with GG D and 30/30 potential don't come around that often. The avg and OBA are bad but he is about the only FA that the team signing him will get his prime years. He's only 28( 5 yrs takes him to 32) and there is hope he can get better. I think the Braves need to let McCan walk after the year. By the end of his next deal he will probably be more of a DH/1B than C.

Braves teamates didn't like him and a main reason the Yanks traded him is he was a bad influence on Cano. Maybe he's changed.

    He's a joke. Without the drugs he's a lazy piece of crap. They got rid of Escobar and added an even bigger locker room cancer. Yanks, Braves, Royals, and especially Giants had nothing good to say about him. Doesn't fit at all with all of the team-first guys they just added

    Hopefully there is enough leadership in the clubhouse to keep him from doing some stuff. Jays need a veteran manager who isn't afraid to say what needs to be said next year.
