Tigers Lineup and Rotation.... 8th best team no

    1. Jackson - CF 2. Hunter - RF 3, Cabrera - 3B 4. Fielder - 1B 5. Martinez - DH 6. Dirks - LF 7. Peralta - SS 8. Avila - C 9. Infante - 2B

    1. Verlander 2. Scherzer 3. Fister 4. Sanchez 5. Porcello

    1. Reyes SS
    2. Melky LF
    3. Bautista RF
    4. Edwin Encarnacion DH
    5. Adam Lind 1B (really need to replace Lind)
    6. Brett Lawrie
    7. Colby Rasmus
    8. J.P Arrencibia
    9. Macier Izturis/ Bonafacio

    1. Dickey
    2. Johnson
    3. Buerhle
    4. Morrow
    5. Romero

Jays also have so decent arms in case some of their rotation gets injured. Bullpen still scares me.

We'll do what we did last year and mix and match out of this group and whoever else we may add. Combine that with a lineup as deep as any and the best bullpen in baseball and we are much better than 14th.

Not exactly what you want to rely on. You need innings eaters to win it all in baseball.

Best bullpen in baseball? Agree to disagree on that point. The Rays, Nationals, Braves, and Cincy have arguably better bullpens.

Jays also have so decent arms in case some of their rotation gets injured. Bullpen still scares me.

    1) Reyes- relies largely on his speed to make an impact, but has had hamstring/injury issues in the past.

    2) Melky- Was a below average player pre-PED usage, will likely regress back to a very similar player as he used to be.

    3) Bautista- Had serious wrist injuries last season, which is absolutely killer to a power hitter's career. We'll see what he does coming out of spring training.

    4) Edwin Encarnacion- Good player, will be key to the Jays success

    5) Lind- Not a very good player, as you mentioned.

    6) Lawrie- Tons of raw talent, but for some reason regressed last season. He may run into injury issues in the future if he continues to play at the same aggressive level he has been performing at.

    7) Rasmus- Overall, not a very good player. Has good speed and occasional power, but will never be the consistent bat the Cardinals thought they were getting when they drafted him.

    8) Arrencibia- Nice catcher, but doesn't bring much more to the table other than good power and decent defense.

    9) Izturis/Bonafacio- Both are similar players, both are good at defense, but lack power and aren't going to provide anything special at the plate. Great baserunners though.

    1) Dickey- Likely will have a similar season to last season, but is all dependent on how his knuckleball is located. It's much harder to pitch in the AL and he will have to adjust.

    2) Johnson- Used to be a premier pitcher, but after his shoulder injury he hasn't been the same. Same thing about the AL-NL switch as Dickey

    3) Buerhle- Definition of a workhorse, but will never be a top pitcher. May struggle in the AL East's small parks.

    4) Morrow- Could be an excellent pitcher if he remains healthy, but we'll have to wait and see.

    5) Romero- Not sure what happened last season, but if he can figure it out again, he can be a great pitcher who eats up a ton of innings.

O'Day-Strop-Johnson might have been the best back end of the bullpen in baseball last year. The O's last season showed how important a solid bullpen is.

  • But the question you guys need to ask yourself is are any of your players Dylan Bundy?

If yes than you're a fan of the best team in baseball.
If no than you team is trash.

The Jays already had a pretty decent core anyway, all these guys were just missing pieces.

Reyes was the leadoff hitter and speedster the Jays needed. Also a big upgrade at SS over Escobar who was a cancer. Bonifacio is solid depth, and Melky could be a decent addition and is better than Travis Snider.

Josh Johnson, RA Dickey, Mark Buerhle >>>>>>>>>>>>> Henderson Alvarez, Chad Hutchinson, Kyle Drabek

Jays also improved their bullpen so far this off-season, and gain back Sergio Santos for injury.

We might not be a great team, but we are AL East favorites IMO.

Reyes is hurt 65% of the season and doesn't give a shit the other 35%

lol That's funny. Justin Verlander, Max Scherzer, Doug Fister, and Anibal Sanchez are all better than Dylan Bundy my friend.

Maybe agree to disagree but I think having 10 guys who can come in and give you a good chance to win is much more reliable than depending on 2-3 pitchers at the top of your rotation.

Granted the downside to that is that when we have a game we have to win we don't have someone you can give the ball to and count on 8 innings and 1 run.

Nope, but we are discussing this year and Bundy is not better than those pitchers right now. He may be better in the future, but there is no guarantee and that's not what we were discussing.

And I wouldn't get your hopes up too high with prospects, they'll break your heart more often than not.

Yes sir. Cueto being the best of the bunch. Its a shame that Larussa held a grudge against the Reds and left Cueto and Phillips off the All Star team last year.

Yeah, how about no. Verlander tops Cueto, Scherzer tops Latos, Fister is about even with Bailey, and Sanchez is better than Chapman simply because Chapman hasn't proved he can be an effective starter.

Toss in that it's harder to pitch in the AL and Detroit's staff >>> Cincy's staff.

Ha Ha Ha yeah right, pitchers like Strasburg hit better than any DH in the entire american league

Hell if Strasburg was in the AL, he would bat clean up and lead the league in homers

That is how weak the AL pitching is, or so I heard

Yeah, the team went to the World Series last season and added a .300 hitter and has a .310 hitter coming back has no chance to hand with the Nationals. Right.

    At least you get it

Now that Strasburg is back and Harper a year older, all the offseason moves in the world wouldn't measure up to the Nationals nut size

We got the biggest balls around, I don't see them losing in the entire spring training
