  • In May 2013 after 5 starts (4-0 and 1 godawful no quality start), I'm the 9th best starter out of 21 on the team and 2nd best overall in AAA. My pitches are: 4 seam FB, Slurve, Circle Change, and a Cutter. I'm thinking of adding another pitch once I finish upgrading those 4 pitches. Leaning towards something fast like a 2 seamer or sinker but liking the knuckle curve or 12 to 6 curve. What say ye, tBB?

  • I plan on getting this game in May when I get home and have my TV and PS3 again. I also will be doing an Atlanta Braves dynasty.

    I have a question about the rosters though, do they have lots of good young players? I am wondering about say the top 500 prospects by baseball america or scouting book. I have also heard that Cespedes and Darvish aren't in the game yet. How often do they update rosters or can someone in the community make all these players ala how the community would add names in NCAA Football games?

    Thanks in advance for the help. Really looking forward to this.

    Not sure about the top 500 prospects, but they have updated the rosters 2-3 times within the past couple of weeks.

    I actually found on their site that according to the rules any player that has not been placed on an MLB Regular Season roster cannot be put into the game. So this means that all the minor leaguers are either
    A - attempts at making those guys but with fake names
    or B - all fake players

    O well, that kinda spoils the dynasty as I was hoping to rack up a bunch of prospects. Still should be fun though.

    I think it is just made up players but not sure.

    Road to the Show is a very fun mode.

  • If I sim games in rtts do I still get the training points? Because I really don't feel like playing every single game of every season. But I need as much points as I can get to make my player better lol

  • So in browsing around OS, it seems that Knight's roster at the moment is the one he did for spring training. His finalized one post spring training is expected (I guess?) to be coming out Wednesday. However the spring training one has all the minor leaguers and whatnot, it just might not have the exact opening day lineups or exact stances and whatnot if you care about using them for realism sake.

    Actually there seems to be no timeline for Knight's next post spring training update, but I guess the hope is Wednesday.

  • Yo Aussie, I remember you talking about the insane fielders in Rtts always making great plays and what not. Well I was browsing OS Forums and other people were having the same problem and did this to make it much more realistic, and so did I. They will still make the close great play, but shots to the gap that should land, land. And the infielders don't make 100% of diving catches.

    I hate that. Created my next player. Fast shortstop that specializes in contact, and not too powerful at all. Batting .349 over halfway through the season in AA. Got traded to the Giants. It never fails. You will ALWAYS GET TRADED. Doesn't matter how good or bad you are, you will get traded by the first team you play for. I can never play for the Reds because they always trade me. I have been traded by other teams that draft me as well. I have never not been traded. Ever.

  • You still get training points when you sim, but not 100% of them.

    I hit my 100th career HR and got 500 points.

    My numbers are insane.

    99/95 power R/L
    89/75 contact R/L
    86 speed
    82 vision
    82 clutch

    Scary when a power hitting 1B can steal at a high success rate. Started out at a 30 speed.
