You still get training points when you sim, but not 100% of them.
I hit my 100th career HR and got 500 points.
My numbers are insane.
99/95 power R/L
89/75 contact R/L
86 speed
82 vision
82 clutchScary when a power hitting 1B can steal at a high success rate. Started out at a 30 speed.

1/2 way through my second year, off of the top of my head (at work)
69/60 Contact R/L 50/49 Power R/L 61 Speed 50 Vision 50 Clutch
AVG. .318 as. AAA Bench player. Want to work my Contact and Vision up to 80+ then max out my speed. Want to turn doubles into triples and get an inside the park homerun.

FYI Operation Sports released their Opening Day edition of their Full Minor League rosters last night. This should have all the lineups set post spring training, although as you go through your own spring training the CPU might adjust it again. There will be two more updates, one with pitch edits, and one with player edits using their own formula that seems to work better, but no ETA on those yet as those take a while longer.

If you boost your speed the game will make it harder for you to hit for power. It does not let you become a juggernaut. You may have 100 power, but you wont swing like it. I did it many years in a row and once my speed got above 90 my power numbers dropped significantly. Just how the game works.

In this year's they trade you in 'Be a Pro'? Really? That's pretty sweet. Last year's and before that you were just with the same organization forever. Do you finally get to negotiate your contracts or are you still stuck getting vastly underpaid? I just finished my third year as the Cubs' 3rd baseman on last year's game and after hitting .372, 61 HR, 145 RBI, 57-63 in steals, and a Gold Glove, I felt I deserved a raise..
