Mack Brown Says Bama Is Ahead.

FWIW, Alabama is a much better university than LSU. To put it in Texas terms for you, we are rated on a similar level with Baylor. So that means above TCU, OU, Tech, etc. and well above LSU.

Be that as it may, none of the aforementioned schools have terribly strict admission standards, which makes them much easier to get into, and thus easier to get a degree from said schools.

Not denying that it's easier to get into Alabama than Texas. Just saying that our academics have dramatically improved in recent years (alot of that is due to out of state recruiting). Our academics would rank tied for second (with Baylor) in the Big 12 behind only Texas. I think degree factory is a term that wouldn't apply to a top ~75 school. I could see describing LSU that way, though.

Not good at all. The vaunted Texas Junior Days aren't locking up the top talent anymore, and if Texas has to fight with other in-state schools for the top Texas talent, they're really in trouble. Texas should only have to fight off OOS powerhouses.

Well considering Texas already had 6 commits before the 1st Junior day maybe you are just stupid.

They will be scary when they get a new coach, much like georgia

You Bama boys have a reason to talk a lot, but don't forget, what was his name, Shula? It's happened to you, It's killing us. Hopefully we'll get back to playing you guys in the big games again.

Dude, I love you Moniker, Fort Worth Tide. What's that...sewer in Ft. Worth running high after a rain?
Just funnin', but I have been to Ft. Worth when a gully washer hit. That's a tide.

What happened to us was NCAA probation. We just finished the worst decade in Bama football history and we won a NC. That's not what happened to UT.

  • You really think that it is still recruiting at the level they were 5 years ago? Still very good, just not as well. Recruits used to beg for ut offers because it held so much weight. Not the same right now IMO.

Texas has 8 commits after this year's Junior days versus 6 after last year's.

I wouldnt be opposed to doing it every other year or so. Thamksgiving is out of the question now. Texas could really use the SOS boost.

Texas would love to play A&M in a bowl game. Regular season? Not a chance. I see USC, Notre Dame, Cal, Maryland, Ohio State, BYU, and UCLA on future schedules. All better games than A&M, a school whose main calling card is "Hey, if you commit you can take online courses so you never have to set foot in that hellhole that is College Station." I would add Arkansas to the upcoming games list, but they have chickened out from the second game twice now! 2021 may finally be the year.

It's good to hear ya'll have been scheduling some quality OOC games. I know it would be difficult to get people to buy season tickets with that lackluster Big 12 schedule.

Seriously. How does he manage to get only 2 of the top 15 and only 3 of the top 20 players in Texas? That's beyond embarrassing.

WOW... tOSU has more top 15 Texas recruits than UT at 3....dammmmmnnnnn

How did you guys do over the last decade against that lackluster competition?

Given that Texas football revenue more than doubles A&M's, I think they are doing okay.

It's more about how a&m has passed Texas immensely and how Texas shouldn't be settling with their current product right now
