So....it's the end of yet another season and Texas has had yet another disappointing year. I think most people wonder just how in the hell a program like UT can underachieve as much as they do. Well, Mack Brown has changed coordinators and assistant coaches a ton, signed top classes year after years, and nothing seems to work. The one NC appearance they had since Vince Young was quickly thwarted by an Alabama team in 2009. Since then they have gone 5-7, 8-5, and what looks like 8-5 or 9-4 this year. When you strike out year after year after year on QB's, it's pretty easy to be that bad. Not only have they struck out, but check out the guys they let get out of state or to other programs. They usually get first pick instate but their evaluating has been abysmal. They have let countless first round picks and Heisman finalists leave. If they sign one of these guys every 3 years they are fine. But Mack has completely struck out on QB's. Like, FSU home game against a top 10 team striking out. It's terrible. Check this out:

As in, has done better with his program than you have with yours. There are always ups and downs in programs. You guys are firing on all cylinders now though. You have to admire FSU for their string of top 5 finishes, despite all of the wide lefts. That said, Texas is ready for a new head coach.
