    The tension between Ginsberg and DD is weird. It always throws me off every episode it develops within the plot. Clearly he's jealous, but his jealousy was different in the latest episode. I feel like we are only getting a portion of what's going on there.

    Maybe Don sees some of himself in Ginsburg.

    Now with Peggy leaving maybe Don takes on more of the protege role with Ginsburg.

    I think Ginsberg is gay, and has a little thing for Don. He seemed totally uninterested in the chick on her hands and knees on the writer's table.

    I have to say I laughed my ass off at the Jaguar not starting.

    Seems like Don might start getting back to his old ways. To much is going wrong for him.

    I think so too. This has been a great season IMO. They seem to be taking out some big characters though. Price and Peggy are both done...

    Peggy will be back. I would almost guarantee it.

    She has always been the second biggest character on the show behind Don.

    This has been an excellent season. There has been so much big stuff happen. Can't wait to see what happens in the season finale.

    All the stuff with Sally in it makes me uncomfortable. Does anyone even know how old she is supposed to be? First the diddle episode, then her peeping in on Sterling and now last nights.

    The scene with Don and Peggy was really solid. I always like their scenes together.

    The ending was pretty solid. Kind of left it open on whether or not Don is truly a changed man.

    Agreed. I hope Peggy comes back as a partner after Pete gets killed off. The last scene has me wondering if the old DD is going to come back or if they were just trolling us until next season. I think electroshock girl is sooo hot though.

    Crazy Roger standing naked the chair with a Lebron James pose had me laughing.

    Yeah I was like wtf? Pretty funny. I love that Mad Men doesn't feel like they need some huge moment at the end of the season or have cliffhangers or anything like that.

    Well obviously Don feels guilty about Lane hanging himself because he feels like he could of helped prevent it. Very similar to when Adam hung himself.

    Yep, it was a good one - glad they didn't leave us with the horror of the last few episodes. All I needed was the Don and Peggy scene. They just had to make everything okay again after the prostitution-themed episode and her departure. The mentor-protege relationship could be Don's most true, and definitely my favorite to watch.

    I think they have 2 more seasons planned, or a long 6th. Either way, we have a bit more.

  • Am I the only one that felt the end to the finale would have been a perfect end to the series? With Don sitting there with a chance to cheat and then it just cuts away leaving you to wonder what he would do.

    It would of been pretty good. Especially following the scene where all the partners are touring the new space. Great shot of them looking at the view. But if that was going to be the end all be all of closing scences - the montage of character pieces could of been better.

But they have a little too much left to answer (aren't you curious about Megan "not giving Don a family"? They've mentioned it too many times for it to not be coming somewhere down the line.)

    I'm not so sure Peggy will really be back. January Jones' character is still around but so much to a lesser degree than before and I have a feeling it will be the same. Peggy sightings and appearances but not the same. And I think that's exactly what Weiner was trying to say -- you can't go back. Don gave her his time and a certain level of intimacy as her mentor, but started to take it for granted, but the time is bittersweetly gone. Mad Ave is small -- they probably will work together again -- but never quite the same. I loved that he said "I thought it'd be with me" about her success and new chapter.

    Pete can't go back either. They turned his side-dish's brain into cottage cheese but he still knows what he did and he doesn't want the life he has. He could drown in that new suburban swimming pool! But he's too selfish, he'll just leave.

    You also had to love one of the last scenes of the new partners surveying the upstairs space. There was a sense of promising new beginning, but Lane's end is still too close. That was so well done - especially that in the panned-back shot against the skyline any one of them (okay except Joan) could have been the falling man. Or has he already fallen?

    I think Peggy comes back somehow. She has consitently been the second main character of the show behind Don.

    If they don't bring her back they have to find a female to work at the agency. There was a scene where Don glances around the agency and sees nothing but men. This was foreshadowed inn the pitch early in the show where the client said that they used to have insight into females but not anymore.
