Hope to keep this under a two hours, but are pushes a few dlls and a lot of javascript clean-up. Expect the site to start out a little slow when we bring it back up and hopefully get much better once the cache kicks in.

Nope. 1-1/2 years after a site comes up you should be beyond all the back-end stuff and focusing on content and UI.
Something is seriously wrong with this site, I mean seriously wrong. It's just not normal to have to shut down this often the fix things. Why are there so many things going wrong in the first place? It's very strange, and it's getting old.

(a) I'm on here all the time and never notice any of the constant slow downs or down time that y'all keep talking about. (b) If you don't think every site, from Google to Yahoo! to ESPN to even my own personal, much less intuitive site, works on the back-end stuff constantly then I don't know what to tell you.
