Malzahn has already hired Ellis Johnson as the defensive coordinator. The name I have heard for offensive coordinator is Rhett Lashlee. Not a big name, but he played for Malzahn in high school, served as a graduate assistant under him at Auburn the first time, and was his offensive coordinator under him at Arkie State this year. He knows Malzahn's system very well. Malzahn is going to call the plays anyway, so he probably values somebody familiar with his sytem over getting a big name

Good start, IMO.
Auburn fans? What are you hearing about how he is going to run the offense. Obviously, I would assume he will be the playcaller, but does he hire an OC or does he just hire all the position coaches and hold the OC title for himself? Is Ellis Johnson a name he is looking at for the DC position. Never loved the guy at Bama (although he did have a couple good defenses), but for some reason I think he would be a good fit for Malzahn. A lot of experience in the SEC and would be able to pull a solid group of position coaches as well, IMO. Seems like a guy that Malzahn could trust as well and spend most of his time with the offense.
TIA.
An off-the-wall suggestion for Offensive Coach/Asst HC (kind of in place of a OC) that I think would be good would be Mario Cristobal. Not sure if he is even an "one the radar" guy, but having 2 guys with HC experience would be good as well.

Malzahn has several protégés that are interviewing for the job. The list includes Chad Morris, Clemson's OC, Mike Novell, Arizona State's OC, and Rhett Lashlee, Arkansas State's OC, all of these guys are understudies of Gus Malzahn.
