  • You're joking....

I don't think I could list off any more parts of an upper leg.

    Next question.

  • As i have mentioned in other post i am not sure about the femur. It is a very difficult bone to break, and the injury (bone sticking out the side of his leg) appeared to be in the lower part, which would not be a femur.

Forget football. Hope for as speedy a recovery as possible.

Not as concerning as the 4 torn ligaments in the knee. You can put rods in the femur and be back in 8 weeks, the 4 ligaments in the knee might end his career. Feel so bad for Lattimore, he had big things in front of him. I really really hope he can come back from this injury and reach his dream of playing in the NFL.

  • tbh all rumors are just that. We all know it's serious. Serious to the point where playing football maybe a secondary concern. That being said wait for real info(not calling you out FSUFSU even though you always been open in hatred for Carolina)

I will say this, Marcus Lattimore is a kid (even if he was a walk on with a C gpa) that everyone of us would be proud to call our son(except the sick racists) He is a special young man, and deserves all our prayers (or best wishes from non-believers)

  • How in the hell is his leg still connected?

Holy shit. I really hope he recovers and is able to live relatively pain free.

  • If injury report is true, he will likely never play football again at as high of a level. Best wishes to the young man and his recovery.

I'd be a little surprised if they know the extent of the ligament damage this early. Typically you need to wait until the swelling goes down until you can tell what's going on in there. I guess maybe if they've already gone in to start fixing the bones but that would be very early too.

yes, internet doctors though have sources. The knee is broken(or dislocated) I saw that. which tendons broke, you would be insane to guess at this point and NOBOBY would know until after swelling goes down and surgery(pure blind speculation)

I assume , more hope, legislation comes in comparable to a chop block from this. Perhaps the brightest star as a rb in cfb since adrian petterson has a potential career ending injury due to someone going at his knees when engaged at the line(even worse with his helmet to knees) It wasnt illegal, but it was disgusting... It wasn't a 165 lb cb trying to cut him in open field, it was a helmet first direct shot at knee by a 220 lb while he was stood up by a defensive lineman. Exactly why the chop block rule was made, disgusting ply by the UT linebacker imo, even if not illegal. may have cost a good kid millions by being a cheap shot hack

You could tell when he rolled over that skin was all he had going

Yeah, I was afraid the leg was going to rip off when it swung over. It looked just horrific. Prayers to the young man.

  • Most horrific injury I've seen in my 18 years of life. Terrible for him. I do hope he at least gets a shot, but that sounds like a death sentence for his football career.

  • Very reminiscent of the Napoleon McCallum injury in terms of freakishness.

But until there's an official report, I'm not going to put alot of stock in internet rumors as to the specific magnitude of injury

False. If his femur broke it would be set immediately. There are vital arteries that are close that have to be lads sure aren't damaged. Don't really want to go into why I know this but a friend went through something similar and was operated on pretty much immediately because of that artery they feared was damaged.

  • I would assume they took him straight to X-ray and then surgery right after that. Probably a 4-5.5 hr surgery. He'll wish they had just induced a coma for the next 6 weeks. Wouldn't wish it on anyone.

    fsufsu

  • Your heart has to go out to the kid. I can't say I have seen an injury like that for a while if ever.

He needs to concentrate on rehabilitating, finishing school, become a GA & try to land a job in coaching...

I don't think he will ever play football again. (FWIW I didn't think McGahee would either though)

I think he will be back somewhere. Might have to sit out 2013 like McGahee did.

I'm older than you. I've seen worse injuries. I've never seen one that made me want to throw up the second I saw it besides this one. Theisman included.

  • Well hopefully this guy will get a medical hardship and get to keep his scholarship so atleast he will habe a Degree to fall back on. He's not playing anymore football, IMO. Sucks though, he was a great one.

You give up your knee like that for your school, they should atleast honor a scholarship for you until you get your degree.
