If Drake is 6'4" then Wilton Speight is 6'8". I believe Speight is every bit of his 6'6", but I'd be amazed if Drake was actually taller than 6'3".

I wasnt sure how tall Drake was when I saw the picture. Then I checked on here and it lists him at 6'4", but he looks shorter then that to me.

From the pics of this weekend he looked every bit of 6'4". He looked like he had atleast an inch or two on Drake and everyone has him listed at 6'4".

At the NFTC camp he went to last year , he measured in at 6-4.5 , 266 Lbs.

Corey Smith maybe, coaches like that size at WR. lol

I think Michigan lands some pretty darn good WR's in this class though. In a good position with a few pretty solid guys.

He's an undersized burner. In the right system he's going to be hell to deal with, and luckily we are that system.

I must admit I haven't seen any tapes or anything, but do any of the Florida guys like Dundee, Nova, fsufsu, anyone have any opinion on him? Where he'll end up on the line, how he plays, etc.

Your seriously asking Nova for his opinion?

Exactly. And it's not just the OL. We are supersizing every position on offense ... RB, WR, TE, FB/HB. Even our QB is going to be 6'6". It's going to be fun to watch the new offense emerge over the next couple of years.

Fun fact: in 2015, it's very likely that we'll be running 2-TE sets where our entire offense is 6'3" or taller.

    QB: Morris/Speight
    RB: Shallman
    WR: Dukes/York
    WR: Chesson
    TE: Williams/Butt
    TE: Funchess
    LT: Magnusson
    LG: Kalis
    C: Miller/Kugler
    RG: Bosch/Bars
    RT: Braden

Our OL recruiting is like recruiting on Madden. "Why yes, I'll take this 4-star, and this 4-star, and this other 4-star..."

clap......Wait, Let me get this straight. You guys picked up another....Offensive....Lineman???? Is that like, #25? Here's my surprised face.....huh, Congrats thumbsup2

Maybe saying he sucked was a little harsh thinking back on it. When I evaluate OL, I automatically dock points if I feel they don't project as a tackle at the next level. Cole is 6'1-6'2, I believe. He'll probably be sliding inside at college (no clue what Michigan's plans are for him). So that's the initial reasoning behind my comment. And it's the same reasoning behind my comment on Dorsemy, who is 6' and some change.

Im with you, high school heights and weights are almost always a projection of what they will grow into

Cole is 6'3" tops right now

This is our depth chart scholarship wise. Id like you to pay particular attention to the middle of the photo, where the offensive lineman are located. Those are the guys in the OT, OG, and C rows. Now if you match that up with the junior and senior columns, you'll see that we have very few guys there. So, when your depth is bad at one position, you have to sign a lot of guys at said position.

Did I take that slow enough for you? It's deep shit I know. Just take your time and see if you can make sense of all of it.

Oline recruiting was nonexistent under RR. No depth whatsoever. We will be taking 3-4 this year.

40 frosh or RS frosh panic

Edit: that seemed like a ton, but MSU has 35.. so I guess it's not an insanely high #

I mean it's not exactly something we were aiming for. But when you have not only a coaching change, but an entire change of environment within your program, it's bound to happen. This is the only way to fix it.

Or, we really are gonna play 8 OL at one time. Depends on who you want to listen to.

It's just so ridiculous because it's not like Hoke's arrival caused a mass exodus. RichRod's recruiting was already poor by Michigan standards, and so many of those guys were already gone by the time Hoke arrived.

    The cupboard was beyond bare.

Very true. It was a new coach coming to the Big Ten running a spread system who recruited smaller speed guys on the outside and failed at bringing in much talent on the offensive line. Sounds strangely familiar
