  • We all share a lot of opinions here. Some of them shades of grey and some of them just dumb. That said, it's black and white that this guy knows less about football than most people we all discuss the game with on a week to week basis. His analysis is usually categorically incorrect or not even about the topic/dynamic it should really be about.

    He was an abomination in Detroit. So I ask, how does he get work? What was his connection? How did he get his start? Crazy.

    I could check wikipedia but i'd rather ask.

    The man is one of the most brilliant football minds of our lifetime. It's not his fault the Lion's suck. Why he hasn't been offered a big time AD job (UoM?) is beyond me.

    Wow, two responses and two disagreements. Maybe I was wrong. Maybe he's just terrible at the draft and terrible on tv. Maybe he knows a lot but sounds like an invalid while diagramming plays. Maybe I am wrong.

    He was the best fantasy football owner ever. His drafts, from a fantasy football view, where great. Load up on WR and get a QB, and everything else is fine. He drafted 3 straight WR's in the first round. I guess WR's got the most points in his fantasy league.

  • He was a decent analyst prior to the dumpster fire he turned my lions into. Lost all credibility after that IMO, admittedly from a biased point of view. Current regime isn't much better at drafting, just going about it a different way, and still sucking. How millen has multiple jobs is beyond me. The best is his frequent "he's gonna be a star in the NFL" comment, uhhhhh keep those gems to yourself u ruhtard, like u have any clue as to what will make an NFL player. Rumors are that he was a rogue GM, didn't listen to any of his peeps beneath him.

    With all due respect to Lions fans, and notwthstanding everything he did to them, prior to becoming lions GM a strong case could be made that he was the best analyst on TV.

    Wat he's doing now I don't know....jus don't see/hear him enough to say, although its hard to believe that his considerable talents as a commentator jus evaporated???

    Lions fans for the most part loved his draft picks early. Sure, there are the "TAKE AN OT!!!" crowd, but they're always here. The only real head scratcher pick was Williams, who still got the fan base excited. We have a term in Detroit: Lionized. You can be as talented and as driven as anyone, if you spend any long period of time on the Lions, your career is over.

    Lions had multiple playoff appearances and 10 plus win seasons in the 90s before Millen. While im not a fan of the current staff they at least already have one playoff appearance. Lions sucking had everything to do with Millen.
