  • We only play 2 true LBs in base defensive packages and graduate 5 this year, so pretty much any of them who want to come on board will be on the 2 deep.

    Hoping Rolin commits sooner than later.

    No, it isn't, I haven't ever seen a kid fall on top ranking lists like that kids has....and just so you know we aren't getting Rolin either, he is just a much better prospect...and no baggage

    Allen isn't a LB.

    Both are good.... EJ has a little more speed and seems a little mote versatile .... now what baggage do you speak of?

  • EJ has an ego the size of the 703 area code and will fizzle out worse than Luc did. His baggage is that his dad thinks he is the king of the world and EJ is an entity to make him famous, and EJ has bought into it

    If he goes in and can be broken of the attitude issues he can be good, but he carries the risk a full time ME player brings.

    UVA and VT had interest but mutually were happy not to pursue...for London to not pursue takes a lot.

    This is completely common knowledge in VA...247 just got a VT site, VA info can be had on this site now, UVA posters don't usually frequent the National Boards like we do, but they and the Maryland posters will all agree on this one.

    And we aren't butthurt over kids, there are a ton we wanted that hurt to loose...this just isn't one of them...Carter last year was, Nicholson was 2 year's ago, Harold last year...I also said your QB was going to be a damn good college QB, but that it would take him 3-4 years to get there, I also said I thought Glennon was a better Pro prospect. No one in the State of VA said Harvin wasn't a monster...well, other than the roids

    Just odd cause we have a guy who is in that area and has known EJ for a while and not once has he ever said ego and EJ in the same sentence ... just seems extremely odd this now surfaces after he commits....

    Ahhhhh it is posters which are saying this, but no coaches or mods.... seems reasonable

  • Don't know anything about EJ, but we had similar situation to the argument here with Corey Miller and Brandon Willis a couple years ago. Neither instate school really wanted them, Willis in particular. First we were butthurt because FSU got them and they were 4*s. Then we were butthurt because UT got them. Then neither one amounted to crap.

    I tend to side with locals unless it's a highly contested recruiting battle and the losing side changes their tune immediately after.

    Like I said, I don't know about him and VT guys are new here so it could very well be different.

    But with those SC guys we said it for months, yet it was a new revelation to two different fanbases when those guys committed. IIRC, UNC and UCLA fans pulled the same thing when they had Willis. He went to UNC, transferred to UCLA, then back to UNC.

    Yeah, I just made that up to talk crap. They were both FSU and Lattimore was coming too. Then they both went with Kiffin and the Lacey/Vol girl stuff broke. Kiffin left, Miller flirted with us for a minute but stayed at UT, Willis went to UNC.

    I get what you're saying but the thing is on those guys it was known and teams who got them were going to act different... but with EJ not once has any of this been mentioned and he has been heavily recruited for almost 3 years by FSU.... it all is directed to his dad. And how his dad told UMD that they were no longer in it cause the new staff didn't really recruit him hard or something like that.... EJ has the ego cause of what his dad has said and done... that doesn't make sense....
