Matthew Thomas leaning towards FSU.....

If Bama gets him on campus all bets are off. Otherwise FSU or Miami.

You're assuming and doing so incorrectly.

Not sure it matters that much to be honest.. Thomas is very unlikely to leave the state, and if hes smart he will go play behind that FSU D-line. They will make his job MUCH easier

Lmfao at fsu's on field performance....

There really isn't anything you could be "lol'ing" at Bama about right now. Win something of substance on the field and I might take a little ribbing from FSU.

In other FSU/Miami news, Earmon Lane is basically locking down early 5 star status out there today. Gerry Hamilton is there and apparently Earmon has his jaw dropping.

Where do you think he lands?

I think he will be all over the place until the end and realize he doesn't want to leave home. Herb Waters is in his ear big time as well.

  • I'd be an idiot to guess. I'm sure Earmon will first form a solid top 5 about a year from today.

I'd say 80% likely it's either FSU or UM though. We will throw it better and have better QBs for him to look towards. Olsen is top 150 but Winston and Gillins will be top 40 recruits. Twice as likely to have a star even if they were all equally ranked.

  • Yeah. Long way to go.

I know there for a while he was saying he wanted out of south Florida. But then he backed off that statement after our staff turned up the heat on him.

Meh I don't find a huge difference in Olsen and Winston. Winston of course is the better athlete. But i think Olsen is smarter.

    Agreed.

If I had to describe it in a short sentence, that's how I would compare the 2.

  • Wow, couple of Canes agreeing amongst themselves that their recruit is better. Shocker. Also labeling the black guy as "more athletic but not as smart" is hillarious. One of the main reasons Winston is so well liked is because he showed "extraordinary" football smarts at the E11 camp. Dilfer says he could learn an offense in 3 months.

Carry on liking the mid 4 star from New Jersey.

Never said Winston wasn't smart. I just said Olsen is smarter. His football IQ and his grasp for the game is his strength.

But of course Winston is better. He is playing at FSU. That's all that matters.

My response was based off of scouting reports by Trent Dilfer, Yogi, JCSchurburtt, and others.

Yours are your own. Let's weigh those opinions.

What's funny is that one side of this argument is presenting a "Of course he's better, he's committed to my team" kind of argument and it isn't me.

Jameis is unanimously agreed to be better than Olsen.

  • The mid 4 star from New Jersey is carrying himself pretty darn well at the E11 camp so far. Many think Morris and Olsen have impressed the most so far. JC being one of them.

Not too bad considering this years QB class is much better then last years.

Another vague, you wish it were so, declaration.

Jameis was THE star of the entire event last year. If Olsen gets that kind of accalim we can high five and look towards better days for Miami. Just FSU right now though. Olsen is about 2 years too late. It's the Stephen Morris show.

I'll give you Ward, so that's 1 out of 6? Congrats on that. Lulz at Ponder and EJ. I forgot this is his "breakout" year, my fault.

Ponder was a top half of the first round pick. First year starter.

EJ had a darn solid Jr year behind America's worst OL. And before you say it, I can break down for about 30 minutes why our OL will be better this year. If you want to get owned just make that call. I know for a fact Miami's weak ass DL won't test it.

    fsufsu

  • About every recruiting site last year mentioned that it was a weak QB class. So I don't know where you are getting that from.

So was AD McPherson & Xavier Lee. We will see... Another hype-star IMO

So professional scouting reports just go out the window and you get to choose based on who's a Cane?

Makes sense, you clowns embarrassed yourselves already by using football IQ to be the angle you went for to prove Olsen's superiority. Winston's IQ was listed more times than his dual threat abilities as a strength.

    Clown show.

This one is headed by Max Browne who's been so up and down this summer that they'll either have to drop him or admit they love ranking him high for the hype and subscribership boost. Browne = Kiel.

Might be the funniest comment I've read... Thank you. Please, own away. (try to make a valid point sometime though)

We return our starting LG who was a Juco so he likely will improve a little but either way he got beat out. Won't be starting. So LG is ++

Center had Bryan Stork there who couldn't make a call to save his life. We finally started Barron as a 6'2 280 Fr for 3 games and things actually improved. He's now 295 and has been #1 all offseason. ++

RG was a merry go round of averageness last year. Orelus was going to start but was out for year, Faircloth was 285lbs and Stork screwed him routinely on calls, etc. We finally started Tre Jackson in the bowl game and the second half was him bulldozing Luis Nix. He's been first team all offseason and Orelus is back. So ++

RT we had a 17 year old 6'4 290lb Fr start ten games. Now he's 6'5 310 and he might now start because Menelik Watson is 6'7 325 and a boss as well as Bryan Stork who can just play and not think and he's ahead of Hart right now. So ++

Cam Erving will be iffy early on at LT. He's 6'5 310 and a really great athlete/kid. But you're retarded self will just say he sucks.

The depth in last years QB class doesn't even compare to this year. But whatev's it doesn't matter what we canes think. It's the FSU way only.

Back to the point, I doubt Ermon Lane is going to care if It's Olsen or Winston throwing to him. Both will get him the ball just fine.

    Your mom is a clown...

I've completed my work here. Olsen is not as good as Winston, citing IQ was faggotry and backfired.

Coker kicks both their asses and is a RFr whereas Olsen is still a year away from enrolling. Miami needs help yesterday. Sony Michel will join a garbage heap of a team in 2014.
